"We had a wonderful experience at The Mortimer’s Arms. If you are visiting Paultons Park/Peppa Pig World, the location is unbeatable (within walking distance). The hotel is exceptionally dog-friendly. They provided a water bowl, treats, and a toy for our dog, which was such a lovely gesture. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress."

"Top class location with easy and picturesque walk to high street via cathedral. Friendly, courteous staff. Characterful clean room with excellent welcome freebies ( bottle of beer, sweet treats). Fridge in the room with real milk and chilled water. A very characterful bar & dining room in the pub which was clearly very popular with locals too. Slight downsides: not great privacy of ensuite facilities from bedroom, slightly over-priced evening meal even for Winchester, some early morning...

"Lovely atmosphere in the hotel. Very comfortable beds. Generally a lovely stay with great choice at breakfast. My only criticism is that the drinks at the bar are a little on the pricey even for a four star hotel. But still enjoyed the lovely deco and would recommend this hotel. "
