"We had a great stay at the Boathouse. The location is excellent and the place is unique. The ferry is right next door, which can be a little noisy for some, but we loved the harbour experience with the boats floating past our patio. The place has everything you need, it's very neat and we will return for sure. We had a memorable time!"

"The view of the harbor from the 2nd story porch was very picturesque - the noise from the boats or the ferry never bothered us. There was a general store nearby for some supplies, but most shopping required a bigger store. The location was near enough to Paihia for restaurants when we didn't feel like cooking. "Robert’s apartment was ideal for our 9 day stay in Paihia. Loads of room in the apartment, and the location couldn’t have been better. We could walk to everything in town. The kitchen was well appointed, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was updated. Robert was responsive to all our questions and most accommodating. We would definitely rent this spot again."

"We booked for a trip to Northland as we hadn't holidayed there in over 40 years. Very clean, quiet and comfortable accommodation. Our hosts were very obliging and we felt the unit was very homely. Just on the edge of walking distance to Opua but an easy drive to there or Paihia 5 minutes further on."

"We don’t want to over recommend the property because we want to come back! It’s already difficult to get! We had a splendid time - visited Paihia, Kerikeri, Waitangi, Russell, Long Beach, boat tour of the Bay of Islands (out to the hole in the rock). Amazing! Wished we could stay longer.
