Ubicado en la orilla sur del Lago Superior, Jarven Hytti es una experiencia de lujo. El entorno privado ofrece hermosas vistas del lago y su playa de ágata de arena rosa. No es la cabaña típica de bosques del norte, la casa de playa de estilo finlandés inspirada en el arquitecto es espectacular. Duerme cómodamente 8 personas. Y, los dos baños modernos y ordenados acomodan cómodamente a sus huéspedes. Una cocina moderna y totalmente equipada, una gran sala familiar con chimenea de piedra, cómodas habitaciones y chimenea en la cubierta complementan la acogedora y funcional casa de vacaciones. Las sábanas de lujo y los lirios enanos nativos del lago completan un entorno de escapada verdaderamente maravilloso. Upon arrival at our beautiful cabin we were suprised by the delicious treat of a homemade rhubarb cake and freshly made whipped cream. Also homemade treats for the dogs. We had an fantastic time combing the beach for seaglass and rocks. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, cozy everything we needed was supplied. Campfires by the beach with smores and beautiful sunsets with family. Would recommend this cabin to everyone looking for relaxation on beautiful Lake Superior.

Amazing location

This was a great location right on Lake superior and it had a lovely walkway to the beach. The house was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the fireplace since it was colder than expected during my visit. If you’d like to walk on the beach, I would highly recommend this location.

Offseason Getaway

My partner and I planned a quick birthday celebration getaway. The property was as described and very enjoyable. We found it to be quiet but not too remote. We loved the fireplace and the cozy vibe. It’s immediately apparent a lot of care, planning and love went into the home. The proximity to the Porcupine Mountains is perfect. There are so many options for destinations for day trips as well. We loved it and hope to come back sometime soon. Highly recommend!

Would love to return!

The best of the forest and the water! Right along the shore of Lake Superior and tucked in the sounds of the wild, it’s such a convenient location with a beautiful view. The Scandinavian atmosphere and treatment is most evident, we felt truly like guests. Our Labrador had a most wonderful stay as well. We are grateful for the opportunity to bring him along. We loved it all!

Enjoyable Even In a Blizzard

It was a wonderful home to enjoy winter. Beautiful lake ice to go look at from the decks. The house was done well enough to not howl in the fierce winds. So close to the park I could ski in the mornings, come back for lunch then go right back there rested.Because I don’t snowmobile I’m glad the tracks weren’t right on the property. We saw hundreds out and about but never heard or smelled one at the house.

UP Winter Get Away

absolutely wonderful place. loved the simple wood work design, the beautiful cozy fireplace, the view, need I say more, the well appointed kitchen, lacking for nothing. the bed was firm and comfy. and location so close to the Porcupine Mts perfect in the winter for down hill skiing and cross country skiing and snow shoeing which we enjoyed

Fantastic Getaway

I absolutely loved our stay. This is the one time we rented a house that looked lovely in the photos and was even better in person! I would move in. I was with my teen daughter, exchange student, and one of their friends for a ski weekend. We were all very impressed and very cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed and was conveniently located to all we wanted to do.This was a great stay and I highly recommend!

Perfect Stay for Renewing Mind and Body

This property was a great location to renew and recover after a hard day of work. Even though the weather was treacherous over the weekend, the house was inviting, cozy and warm. The hosts were compassionate and helpful as we had a family need in the area. We are very grateful for their thoughtfulness. The property manager was amazing and helpful as well. Would return for sure!

Lake Superior getaway

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming VRBO on Lake Superior in Michigan. The cozy indoor fireplace was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The Christmas decorations made it feel even more magical, and we were so happy that we could bring our two dogs along to enjoy the getaway with us. We loved walking outside in the fresh snow, taking in the serene winter landscape. The highlight of our trip was when my then boyfriend, now fiancé, proposed to me right there—truly a romantic and wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return!

Perfect getaway

Pictures were exact representation of the rental. There were details such as labels on switches that made the stay we easier. It was appreciated that thought into details were taken by the host. Beach was great for walking, night time rock hunting. My whole family would definitely return.

Stars, a comet, and the world’s largest pretzel!

We stayed at Jarven Hytti almost 3 years ago and knew we would come back some day. The timing finally worked out and our 2nd visit was every bit as wonderful as the first, so we’ll be back again … hopefully without such a long interlude between visits! Lake Superior is what draws us in the first place and it did not disappoint. The combination of big water and big sky makes for some pretty amazing views. We could watch for hours. Stars and Comet Tsuchinshan made for extra special night skies. We hoped for aurora, but didn’t see them this time. This was a wonderful break from our normal routine! Oh, and don’t miss the HUGE pretzel’s at Gigi’s Coffeehouse in Ontonagon, or the scrumptious pulled pork sandwiches at Roxie’s!

Amazing Property

This was probably the most beautiful property we've stayed at. The house was spotless, and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Being 50% Finnish,I really appreciated all the Scandinavian decor (with a bit of Paris thrown in). We enjoyed the outdoor (and indoor) fireplaces. The property was just beautiful and situated on Lake Superior with wonderful starlit, dark sky views. We will definitely be back!!
