"Upon arrival, a friendly receptionist greeted us and checked us in with no hassle. The hotel is very much a place to sleep and shower. We booked a double room, which is quite small and fits the bed with just enough space to walk around it. Storage is minimal, with under-bed storage large enough for two backpacks, and there is no wardrobe.

"A really nice place to stay with a good morning breakfast and onsite parking.
If you have difficulty climbing stairs, you may wish to request a room on the ground floor or perhaps the next floor up. My wife is 76 and I am 78 and we found it difficult to carry our heavy suitcases up to the top floor especially as you need to negotiate a tight corner in the staircase.
This is a really nice place to stay and it has a nice backyard with seating areas."

"The hotel is a little run down, not well maintained (incl a Merry Christmas door mat in summer). Old furniture and carpets. Doesn’t really look like a 4 star rated hotel. The photos do not reflect the reality. On the positive side: Rooms are spacious and the beds are good, also breakfast is ok. Overall, value for money is not good."

"Location is very good as it is close to the train station and city centre.
Staff were very kind and helpful.
Standard rooms are fairly small with small windows compared with some other hotels. The frosted glass door on the bathroom and part of the bathroom wall mean that anyone who gets up in the middle of the night and puts the light on wakes up anyone sharing the room.
Breakfast choice is okay, although I had read on some reviews that it was great. On two of the mornings there were not...

"Obwohl Deluxe Doppelzimmer, war das Zimmer sehr klein. Alles wirkt sehr dunkel und eng, durch die dunklen Möbel.
Das Bett war sehr bequem, mit guter Matratze. Kleine Kaffee und Teestation auf dem Zimmer und ein Kühlschrank. Keine Steckdose für den Hotelfön (Hightech Gerät) im Bad. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und praktisch für Nutzer des Gloucester Green Bus Bahnhofs. Aber auch für diejenigen, die die Stadt erkunden möchten."
