Great location and amenities!

This was a perfect place for our family to stay. Right near Mohegan sun and the pool and hot tub were a plus!

Very comfy, excellent place to stay

Our only regret is that our stay was too short - we wished we had booked an additional week! Host was very responsive to any questions, and to a minor issue we had with the tub drain. Would absolutely stay again. One note for other prospective guests: there are quite a few stairs (great for us as we have been trying to get more exercise) but perhaps not great for someone who has creaky knees.

The property was very nice. It was a comfortable place to stay, great location for Mohegan Sun, which we were intown for the WNBA game. The only thing that could’ve been better would’ve been if the shampoo/conditioner and body wash were full. Yhey were completely empty. And if the instructions on where to leave the trash when checking out was clearer. There was no direction. Just better communication. Over wise it was great!

Great little place

Enough room for a family of 3-4, essentials for cooking, coffee pods. Super convenient to Mohegan Sun with comfy beds, good enough pull-out couch. The community was very quiet during our stay. Note that the bed is very high, shorter people will have to hop up and down. The unit has a strong smell of something like a sugar cookie-scented candle. It's not unpleasant just very pervasive.

Poor communication, not enough towels

The place was clean BUT there were 3 of us and only one set of towels! Also I contacted the host THREE times requesting to check in early and never got a response. Lastly , there is a hot tub but some directions of where it is located in the complex would have been helpful. We had to ride around and look for it. We kept asking people but most people we saw were guests as well and did not know. At the exit you are supposed to take out the garbage but there is no instruction as to where the dumpster is! We finally had to put our trash in a public trash can at the mail boxes. Nice place but no communication or instruction!

Ok but would not go again!!!

My experience was not the best at all. The contact person was very helpful but this unit has to be updated as the place is very outdated. First we where trying to check in early but the person before us locked the key in the unit and the owner was 3 hours away so I was instructed to jimmy the lock to get in before the owner got there. The door is not safe and easy to get into so the owner is going to install a new lock but that should be done asap. When we did get into the place it smelled stall and musty. I really think the carpet needs to be replaced and a fresh coat of paint would not hurt either. The owner did show up at the unit 3 hours later to drop another key and had an electronic keypad lock that she is going to use to replace the unsafe lock that is there now. I also asked her about cable because the unit only has basic cable and literally 8 channels. She told me she was going to upgrade to full cable the next day and that never happened either. It was not a smart TV so you couldn’t even stream anything on the TV. I really have to say this has to be the worst place I have stayed at and I have been to many Airbnb before. I will not be staying here again because it is very outdated, in need of upgrades and the smell of the unit turned us off right away. I hope other people have a better experience but also hope the owner takes some pride in her place and does some improvements to it.

In 30 years of VRBO, I have never given a poor review. We rented the home for a three day weekend wedding. When we arrived at 6 pm, the lockbox did not work. We contacted the customer service contact for the rental multiple times by phone and by text. We then escalated the property management company, Evolve. It ultimately took 30 minutes to find out that the keypad had been changed from original instructions. By then our takeout dinner that we had purchased was cold and our frozen and refrigerated items for the weekend war warm. That was not the worst part. When we entered the home, it had not been cleaned. We proceeded to contact the customer service contact and Evolve. After over 2 1/2 hours waiting in the unclean rental, we found out that the cleaning staff could not come in on such short notice in the evening. During this time, we looked at other VRBO properties in the within 60 miles and there were none available during that time at any price. The Evolve company gave me two options.1) clean it ourselves and stay the night and they would refund the cleaning fee2) refund our entire stay and fend for ourselves. In the meantime, the other rep found a unit in the complex that we could stay in for the night then move to original unit the next day. So we did at 10 pm. Evolve and owner refunded our cleaning fee but no part of the rental fee. We understand that problems happen. But the poor communication was unacceptable. The owner never followed up.

Weekend with Family in Gales Ferry CT

Our visit to CT was to attend a graduation party for one of our grand daughters and visit with family. The Villas at the Norwich Spa proved to be a very nice option. We have a couple of meals at the spa and the food was great. Being located on the Norwich Golf Course was fun as I am a golfer. Plenty of activities available withing the Villas and Spa. We enjoy staying at VRBOs because of the amenities that they provide. We had several steaming hot days and the A/C managed the temperature in the villa very well. The grounds around the villa were perfect for walks with plenty of shade and hills. This villa was also and end unit providing peaceful quiet.
