Romantic Couples Waterfront Escape

  • A chilled bottle of Chandon will be waiting in the fridge for your arrival together with a variety of cheeses berries and crackers for you to enjoy. The beginning of a relaxing stay doesn't get any better than that.

    Serenity is a private, spacious and fully self contained cottage situated on the water’s edge at Marks Point peninsula.

    What we provide;

    *Generous breakfast provisions, fruit and juices which you can cook inside or on the BBQ whilst enjoying the beautiful water views.

    * A well stocked and fully functional kitchen including filtered chilled water and ice maker.

    *Latissima coffee machine with Campos coffee pods. We also include Campos coffee for the plunger and a selection of teas.

    *Sukin range of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and moisturiser.

    *Quality fluffy hotel bath towels and luxurious bathrobes complete the experience.

    *Hotel quality bed Linen is crisp white sheets on a super comfy queen size bed combined with stunning views of the Lake from your bed.

    *Block out blinds for that sleep in.

    *Kayaks and stand up paddle boards for you to enjoy, free of charge for the duration of their stay.

    *Fishing rods, tackle and bait, access to our jetty for the duration of your stay. Nothing better than dropping a line into the water off the jetty.

    *You can bring your boat, if you like.

    *We provide firewood, kindling and fire starters, marshmallows and marshmallow sticks so you can just sit back and enjoy spending time around the firepit. (Seasonal from May to September).

    No matter what the weather we provide games, internet access, Netflix or you can cook up a storm in the kitchen or simply just relax on our super comfy lounge, looking out the oversized window and just breathe.

Leah is amazing - there are so many little extras included, you will want for almost nothing! In fact it’s best to pack light, all condiments little treats as well as the advertised breakfast and cheese platter. An absolute wonderful stay!

The host was very warm and lovely. The property was clean and tidy. We were pleasantly surprised by the large diversity and plentiful of food and snacks available for our enjoyment. All the amenities were easily accessible. The close proximity to the water and the views are great value for money. Couldn’t recommended more!

Absolutely gorgeous couples retreat

We had a wonderful stay here. An idyllic spot with black swans grazing just meters from the door. The place has been beautifully renovated everything is very new and clean. The hosts have supplied and thought of absolutely everything. Recommend this to anyone though the stair access would present a challenge for anybody with mobility issues.

Amazing host Leah - who prepares the cottage with lots of thoughtful extras making for a relaxing and easy stay. Spotlessly clean. The position is magnificence and the bed super comfortable with lovely linen. Air conditioning means the temperature is easily controlled. Places to sit and relax both inside and outside. We really can’t recommend this gorgeous lakeside stay enough - a wonderful experience with absolutely no negatives …. Unless you don’t like stairs. There are stairs to the road.

Best B&B stay ever!!!!

Serenity by the lake says it all. If you're looking for a peaceful, private hideaway look no further, no need to leave. Everything you could possibly need was on hand. Leah's attention to detail shone through, from all the comforts to the stocked fridge and pantry the views were to die for. Not to mention the kyaks, paddle boards, we did a spot of fishing. Truly was a busy restful time away.

Perfect place to relax

Leah has created the perfect relaxation retreat - beautifully appointed & very generously provisioned, you could easily stay ensconced for the duration of your stay enjoying the changing images of the lake on your doorstep. There is nothing you are likely to need that hasn't been provided and communications are friendly & prompt . A delight - thank you Leah!

Perfect in every way

What an amazing little gem this place is, totally understand why it’s called Serenity. The place is set up perfectly in every way, warm, cosy & sensational views. It’s so quiet and private.The cupboards and fridge are stocked. You can literally rock up without doing a little shop before going there. It has everything you need plus more. A lovely kind host as well. Our last night we slept with the curtains open and watched the sun come up and then waited for the ducks to arrive for their breakfast ( always on time ) We’ll be back again and will recommend Serenity by the Lake to all. Wow!!

Thank you so much Leah and Dee for creating such a warm, welcoming and relaxing environment. The view, ducks, sunrise and sunset were enough to wow us, but it was the extra level of detail you go to which really set's you apart from the rest. We couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary, it was absolutely perfect! The one downside would be the accessibility to the property being down a steep staircase, I would advise to pack light for ease of bringing belongings up and down the stairs, however, once you are down at the property, the stairs are instantly forgotten and Leah and Dee really go out of their way to allow you to just sit back, relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We will definitely be back!!

Serenity by the lake is serene indeed

Excellent attention to detail. They have thought of everything, including the things I forgot such as a phone charger. Cheese, crackers and some bubbles really hit the spot as we sat outside watching those enjoying the lake. Kayaks and paddle boards meant we didn’t have to go anywhere and we didn’t except out for dinner. Our hosts provided a wonderful environment to relax and rejuvenate. The only down side to this property is the numerous flights of stairs to access it and is not suitable for those with mobility issues unless of course prepared to catch a boat to the private wharf. Which personally I think would be worth it.

My wife and I visited serenity by the lake and loved every bit of the place. Leah was an incredible host, she was very helpful and welcoming and provided us with everything we needed and more. The amenities were great and were available for us to use throughout our stay, especially the kayaks which were so much fun given the great weather. The view was amazing and the place was very clean. The best part of the trip were the ducks that came to our door every morning and made everyday feel like a peaceful serene escape. Would definitely come back next summer!
