"I booked the property for my parents & their friend as a surprise getaway to relax. The first thing my parents commented on was how clean the property was and that it smelled amazing on arrival. They loved the location of the house, also they appreciated that should kids be staying there, the toys/dress up provided & also the style of the second bedroom would be fantastic for them. The views were beautiful and we were lucky to have dry days to explore Gibside and the Derwent valley. Lovely peaceful location, amenities close at hand. We each had our own bedroom with a comfortable bed, but there were no curtains just pale blinds only so it was extremely bright in the morning which affected everyone's sleep. Very slow responses from the owner and sometimes no response at all. No plug for the bath and very limited kitchen equipment. Only 2 wine glasses! Kitchen pans were all dirty on arrival.
