The Gruene Historic District, a short drive away, is a must-visit with its iconic dance hall, the oldest continually run in Texas, where live music and two-stepping keep the spirit of Texas alive. Of course, no trip to Texas would be complete without sampling the authentic local barbeque, of which there are many desirable options.
