The only thing bad was the noice from the main high street, as we stayed there on a Saturday night and were woken up a few times. Staff were very helpful and polite. "A classic country pub with new upmarket bedrooms that impressed. The breakfast in the bar was good although my brown toast was dry and burnt. For the money it is good value and the bedrooms are the best aspect. "

"Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board. The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend "

"The hotel was lovely very nice room and spa facilities were good. Pool a bit small but perfect for a dip. Unfortunately the music from the reception area was booming all day and night so I got little to no sleep. Very disappointing when on a business trip and needing to be well rested the next day. By 11.30 pm I went to reception and asked them to turn it down. Originally I had thought it was some kind of disco from the restaurant it was so loud! "On arrival at Bell Cottage we were met by occupants who directed us around the corner to the owner's house. The owner was not in but able to communicate via the Ring doorbell. We were greeted warmly and told where to collect the keys to a different property with en-suite and a shared kitchen, situated to the the left of the owner's house. So a bit of confusion to start with, but the attic room we occupied was lovely, cosy, comfy and spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay. "

"Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi. The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly. The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. "

"Booked the comfort triple room with private bathroom, on arrival we were shown to a twin room and a single room, without private bathroom. When we quieried this the barman said they don’t have triple rooms with private bathrooms so I showed him the booking I made along with this room still being advertised.
