"This hotel DOES NOT have air conditioning. They will bring you a fan with ice. Fancy 8th floor bar was booked for private parties every night so we never got to use it but we’re treated to the thumping music. Service staff were exceptional. Included breakfast was lovely and had a huge selection. Restaurant was decent. Nothing extraordinary."

"We were impressed by the friendly staff, and the overall design and decoration of the lobby area. We also liked the location of the hotel, What we didn’t like was the bedrooms. Very tricky crawling into the bed from the end, no bedside tables, no place to put a glass of water or a book, absolutely no room on either side of the bed as it is built in. Hardly any place to open up a suitcase."

"We were there a week. Room only cleaned once which only consisted of garbage removal and clean towels. No clean glasses or refreshing of the tea bags. In fact my old tea bag was left in the glass for me. Front desk staff very helpful and polite. Accommodation was comfortable but could use a little more lighting. Location is good-close to Amstel station!"

"Loved our stay. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. Loved the naval atmosphere of the location and adjacent city park. We visited during unusually hot weather and although the room didn't have air conditioning, it was still comfortable with the windows open and the provided fan running. We would definately stay again."
