"this was the absolute best place to stay in memphis! it’s exactly as shown in the photos, but somehow better? the room’s flourishes were so thoughtful. we were greeted by squirrels in the morning. the hosts were communicative & the whole process was smooth! we will definitely stay here again! oh & the shower.. the water pressure is perfect & the shower gel/hair products smell divine!"

"This is an old hotel where you can grab a drink at the beautiful lobby. However, the rooms are old. The bathroom was not clean. The tub had other people's hair. The actual room is just old. The breakfast was not good. "

"Everything about this place is fabulous. Staff are outstanding, location is marvelous, nearby restaurants/shops are outstanding! The welcoming glass of champagne upon arrival was deeply appreciated. I cannot wait to visit the River Inn soon! Thank you all for a wonderful stay."

"The room was very nice and clean but you have to have a room key to access the elevators which is disappointing. We went down to breakfast at 8am, having left our belongings in the room to go back up to the maid cleaning our room for us to leave. We had to grab our stuff and rush out, hoping we didn’t forget anything. When we had arrived, the worker told us we could access all amenities even after checkout which isn’t true since you can’t use the elevator without the key. The pictures showed a...

"It was walking distance to a nice coffee shop. It’s minutes away from a lot of nice restaurants and fun entertainment for a perfect date night."

"Great location and parking. Staff was pleasant except in the restaurant where they seemed way too busy to be bothered by non-drinking customers. Also, temperature in the restaurant was frigid - so cold we got our food to go because it was so uncomfortable. TV was out during a storm - they should consider ditching satellite. "

"The hotel is very nice but the restaurant was closed just the hotel bar food which was great and staff was great but not a full meal like we expected. The bad part was the area. We had a homeless guy wonder in half dressed while we were at the bar police came but still he just walked right in no security at the outside doors. Then we could not sleep for the drunk homeless guy on the bench outside our window screaming F bombs at anyone and no one and we were on the 4th floor. Its a great hotel...

"Great location, staff was very helpful - one night we were locked out of the parking lot because they lock the gate at a certain hour. However, the valet attendant recognized our car and opened the gate, so we didn't have to go all the way around the building. This was wonderful because I just had foot surgery and really didn't plan to have to walk a long distance. "

"We chose the property based on the photos showing an eclectic design. Our room has an original brick wall and the dual windows were original bay style. I don't typically sit in a lobby but there's was so inviting we did and visited with the staff. The bar/coffee was also fun to visit with the staff! Very friendly and inviting! It is a corner location and on the third floor there was NO traffic noise. And no sirens during the night."

"We love this place. We have stayed here twice while in town for concerts. It is close enough to walk to Beal St and FedEx Forum. We will always book here when in town for events."
