"Had an absolutely fabulous week at the Parson Woodforde. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming and a credit to Mark and Maria :) The food was incredible, all local produce with lovely fresh seafood specials and all very well seasoned! The roast on Sunday was one of the best I’ve ever had and we were made to feel very welcome and given loads of useful local information, nothing was too much trouble and the rooms were immaculate. "A beautiful period property in a stunning location. Always a warm welcome from the owner and you couldn’t find a more beautiful setting to wake up.Deer often walking around the grounds in the early morning when you open the curtains of your perfectly decorated room."

"The property is in a small village. Pub next door , but otherwise its a peaceful , quiet area. Wells next to sea is about a 5min drive away. My room was nice, it had a kettle, iron,Ironing board, bathroom was clean and shower hot. The beds were good and the room was clean. There is some parking on site. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was also good. I really enjoyed my stay here."

"Excellent village pub with great staff and atmosphere that matches its surroundings and in keeping with good old inn values. The chef provides a great variety of flavors and quality dishes all served hot and on hot plates. The stairs are somewhat challenging for the elderly and mobility impaired. I didn’t realize when booking that I could have requested a ground floor room. My bad - should have read the small print. Would definitely stay again if in the area."

"Comfortable and cozy living area and very spacious bedrooms, this cottage is an amazing getaway. The large pond at the edge of the garden, with lots of fish was a winner for our two boys aged 8 and 9. We saw a kingfisher and quite a few amazing birds casually dropping by. The welcome biscuits where a definate treat and we will be returning. "

"Wonderful property, staff amazing. Only "gripes" are - four poster bed is a *little* small, it's the equivalent of a small double bed. Also, the shower doesn't have much power. It's an older, historical property, so do factor that into a stay. As highlighted above though, the staff were brilliant, and the (included) breakfast was sublime. We will be back! 👍"
