Welcome to Wasting Time at Stop 4. This Sheridan Beach Cottage is a classic beach house located just a few steps away from the tranquil Lake Michigan. This charming and spacious 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home is perfect for a relaxing vacation with your family or a group of friends. During Peak Season this property rents Saturday-Saturday.

As you step into the cottage, you'll notice the open and airy floor plan that flows seamlessly from room to room, providing enough space for everyone to enjoy quality time together. The two separate family rooms offer different spaces to relax, unwind, and socialize. One of them is attached to the kitchen and dining area, while the other one is on the same level, making it easy for everyone to find a spot to call their own.

The living room features a smart TV with streaming capabilities, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a movie night with your loved ones. The master bedroom boasts a luxurious king-sized bed, while the second bedroom has three bunk beds - two with full and twin sizes and one with twin and twin sizes. The third bedroom features a comfortable queen-sized bed, and the fourth bedroom has a cozy full-sized bed and is conveniently located on the main floor.

Step outside onto the large screened-in porch and breathe in the fresh lake air. Enjoy your morning coffee, read a book, or simply soak up the sun. The deck off the back of the house is perfect for alfresco dining, while the huge yard with a fire pit is great for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the starry nights.

Great house for the 4th

We were a group of 7 spanning 3 generations- teens, parents, and grandparents (80). We really enjoyed this house. It had room for all of us, a great kitchen/ dining room gathering area and a nice deck in the back. The house was clean and we didn’t have any issues. We have been going to this area going back 70 years and this house was a great location. Easy to the beach and Michigan city. Really enjoyed it.

Weekend Family Getaway

Loved the size and location of the house. Plenty of room for 5 and the large bathroom upstairs was a plus. But, the pictures must have been from years ago. It needs some love and deep cleaning. spider/dust webs in everyroom and looks like they been there awhile, the kitchen table and counters were sticky and dirty.

Great location and outdoor spaces

Overall we had a great vacation at this property, but we probably won't rent it again. Everything inside and outside the home needs a facelift- from the furniture to the blinds to the linens... Pros: close to the beach, relaxing outdoor spaces (enclosed porch and back deck), large and well stocked kitchen, plenty of beach chairs and towels Cons: insufficient/untimely communication from property management company, house needs a deep clean and some TLC to fix broken house fixtures, have to supply your own trash bags, toilet paper, and paper towels (only a starter supply is provided- this wasn't communicated prior to check-in), no blackout curtains

Great location!!

We had an excellent time in this home. Proximity to water was perfect! Owner was very helpful. House was beautiful with great beach decor throughout! Again, the proximity to Lake Michigan was what sold us on this property, and we were not disappointed!!
