"Made very welcome on our arrival. Room was clean and tidy, and dinner was delicious - all credit to the chef and kitchen staff who had to tackle all the orders for the night in one go following a village wide power cut. Breakfast was very tasty and set us perfectly for the walking ahead of us. The only criticism is that the shower was very hit and miss - either scalding or freezing!"

"I read the reviews after booking and to be honest I was not expecting much, but it was lovely. Room spacious and clean, bathroom clean and well stocked. Lots of tea and coffee in room, along with biscuits. Are in the hotel, excellent hot food!!"

"Lovely characterful country house set in the beautiful South Downs National Park, but within easy reach of many other places of interest. Car needed to take full advantage of the location. Owners and staff very welcoming and bedroom comfortable (superior double room). Good breakfast served and a choice of pubs for evening meal within easy reach (by car)"

"Me gusto mucho el servicio y tratamiento del personal, todo el mundo muy anable y servicial. No me gusto servicio del restaurante, el desayuno muy bueno, caliente, pero la misma cosa todos los dias, yo entiendo que es un típico desayuno inglés, pero debio haber mas variedad. Yo soy Hindu, me gusta el picante y no habia salsa picante en ninguna parte del hotel. La próxima vez traigo mi propio picanto 😊"

"Our second time at Macdonald hotel and spa at Botley Park. We only have one small complain when you have a shower in the bath, if you put our foot on the bath plug you cannot get the plug out and the bath fills up with water . Other than that it was rather enjoyable. The staff are friendly and accommodating."

"Me gustó mucho el concepto del hotel por estar fuera de la ciudad y dentro de un campo de cricket. También tiene un campo de golf. Es un hotel bonito, elegante y muy confortable. Lo recomiendo ampliamente para quien le guste descansar del ruido de la ciudad porque se encuentra como a 20 minutos del centro de la ciudad en automóvil "

"Very good location. Pub staff very friendly and professional particularly Alex who was excellent. Nice menu with a variety of options all prepared and presented extremely well. Nice room, but did have to ask for a change of sheets after 6 days. Would also have liked a grab bar in the shower. My wife and I are seniors and were nervous about slipping. However, have to say the shower was the easiest to use of any hotel we have stayed in. Highly recommended !"
