The room was good but could do with thicker glass or some sort of sound barrier to reduce noise of trains. Other then that I really enjoyed my stay for the price I paid.

Comfortable but a little rundown with poor service

Had a toilet that was running and dripping in the cistern the entire 5 night stay despite repeated requests to reception. General condition of the place was a little rundown and no housekeeping the entire stay. On the positive, my apartment had a full kitchen, very large living area for the price and the location was great for the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Very average - poorly maintained and worn out

It is a very average stay. The Annex building was very poorly maintained, lift wasnt working to our floor, interiors were worn out. 2-star place at best.

first room they gave me wasn't cleaned before i arrived. had to call up reception and they moved me to another room not the best start but the new room was on the third floor and a sign on the elevator told me that it only went to the second and from there i had to go up the fire escape and and get to my room that way. the room was large and spacious but carpets had stains one of the window blinds was missing and the walls had several hole that where they have been haphazardly patch over. ultimately a massive disappointment

Great location - nice views

Location was excellent for our week at the Melbourne Convention Centre. The hotel room itself was pretty disappointing. The carpet was soiled and had cigarette burns, in the bathroom doors were falling off the cabinets and the air conditioning could not be adjusted. The TV in the main bedroom did not work. Ok for business as we were out most of the time, beds were surprisingly good and the towels were changed daily so some good things to report.

Location is very good, being close to train stations, shopping and dining options. Very noisy on Saturday night through to Sunday morning due to patrons of various local entertainment venues flowing on to the street and shouting etc. Somewhat noisy on other nights due to proximity of a loading dock opposite the apartment building. Very clean. Note reception has limited hours of operation.

Got told that all rooms had balconies however we were given one without. We were taken to a separate building away from the main building too which there was no mention of prior.

Disappointed

Disappointing- apartment badly in need of an update and nothing like the leading photos. As soon as you open the door there was a steep set of about 20 stairs. The lounges were old and uncomfortable. To get to garage was not easy had to go outside, around the corner and put a key in a lock on the wall. Not able to be done from car. Elevator did not connect to apartment at all.

the property as a accommodation was very good liked it a lot. would recommend the property. as for the service it failed all aspects. Not happy about the 2 rooms not ready, put into 2 bedroom then tried moving us out next day but only 1 couple nowhere for the other. if got over these hurdles will be a good place to stay.

The receptionist was very friendly. However the room i was put up in was litterally a crack den. There were chunks of carpet missing and burn marks everywhere, melted light switches with missing fire alarms and stains all down the walls and curtains. Would not recommend.

Easy check in, good priced onsite parking, room was fantastic and very good value for money, and the location was second to none! Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be staying there again!

When we book this on your website the photos you show us nothing like the room we got it was average very very average it had stains all over The carpet is very old it’s not connected to the one used advertised I have booked I reckon around 12 rooms with you and this is no doubt the worst I stay in the city often I would think twice before going for your website again because it was crap it was just a room

The Penthouse - Disappointment

We booked the 3 Bedroom Penthouse - Riverside Tower expecting to see river views as described. To our disappointment there were certainly no views as per the photos advertised. The outdoor area was certainly nothing beautiful. Every planter pot was a mass of weeds and the area was very unattractive. The BBQ was a disgrace with rusty hot plate. The bathrooms were beautiful, obviously recently renovated and the beds were very comfortable. Lounge and shag pile rug not very attractive. Generally, in need of further renovation to call this ‘The Penthouse’.

Lift not working and no one to take calls for after 9pm as was left outside for two hours unable to get up to my room . Was instructed by another customer who stayed before as entry via building next door as fire exit to walk up the stairs is via the property next door. Also very noisy as cnr of major Roads and poor insulation to keep noice out

Good location but awful maintenance and service

No one can argue that the apartments are not well located. The price paid represents good value for that location so some '3 star' standard of accommodaion is expected. Nevertheless the standard of maintenance of the apartment showed a gross lack of attention. It wasn't as if the issues were recent or unforseen, the problems seemed long standing and should have been rectified under normal maintenance. In detail: door lock to balcony broken, mould in bathroom, leaking fridge, loose powerpoint, no tv remote in the bedroom and no heating apart from a column oil heater with broken legs that fell over easily (and had done often in the past judging by scorch marks on the carpet). Attempts to fix the aircon system failed and small fan heater was eventually provided on the last day of the stay. Attempts to contact reception during the advertised 11 to 7 timeframe proved difficult and the person who answered the phone option was unable or perhaps unwilling to provide the name or number for the manager. Overall this place could represent some of the best value accommodation in Melbourne but it needs to have a serious maintenance audit and remedy.
