Country Cottage 12 minutes from Mornington Peninsulas' spectacular beaches. FULL DISABILITY ACCESS

Our private self-contained cottage is surrounded by fields of grazing horses. Set on 10 picturesque acres at the gateway to the stunning Mornington Peninsula, Wilindi Estate is the perfect place to relax and get a taste of peaceful farm life.

Wake up to the sounds of the country on our beautiful property where you can join our Farm Tour and meet our rescued animals!

Poplar Cottage @Wilindi Estate is a 2-bedroom cottage, with its own private, fenced garden. Interiors have been curated with an eclectic mix of contemporary and antique farm furnishings. The cosy living area with garden views includes a fully equipped kitchenette with bench top oven and dishwasher.

The stylish master bedroom boasts a tall raked ceiling providing a spacious ambiance. A unique, porthole window also doubles as a reading seat where you can while away the hours enjoying the view of the property. A plush velvet queen bed adds a touch of luxury. The second bedroom offers a bunk bed to sleep two. The pièce de résistance is the stunning privately hedged terrace, offering an outdoor barbecue and beautiful sunsets all year round.

Herd Harmony equine rescue operates from Wilindi Estate, your booking fees go toward the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected, abused and abandoned horses.....my herd says thank you for your support.

FUN FARM TOUR
Get close and personal with our rescue farm animals, you will be able to;
* Meet our horses & hear their rescue stories
* Meet or newest residents Wilbur the PIG & Tim and Tam our goats
* Groom a pony & learn about their care
* Lead Bunny & Valentine, our adorable mini ponies, through an obstacle course
* Collect our chickens eggs (and keep them!)

For a small donation to Herd Harmony Equine Rescue, you and your children will share unforgettable memories.

The shared pool is such a special place and is solar heated all-year-round. If the outside temperature is below 25 or there hasn't been allot of sun, solar heating is usually not enough for a comfortable swim. We can use the electrical heating and the additional charge is $30 per day to guarantee a heated pool from 26-32 degrees. If this sounds like something you'd like, please book at least 7 days in advance as the heating will de turned on 48 hours before your arrival.

WEDDING PARTIES, PHOTOGRAPHY, EXTRA VISITORS:

We enjoy hosting brides-to-be and love the photos that are taken, but there are some things to note;

• Use of our property for wedding photos or any photo shoots costs $150 for up to 2 hours

• There are a maximum of 10 additional visitors allowed including photographer, hair/makeup, videographer

• Guests names and vehicle license plates must be registered with Wilindi Estate owner via email

• There are 3 additional cars allowed on the property only

• Extra guests must ask permission to use the facilities including, but not limited to, pool, play equipment, barn

• Extra guests are not allowed to interact with the animals

• The booked guest is responsible for their additional guests and will be responsible for any damage caused.

• Extra rubbish generated (wrapping paper/boxes) must be removed from the property by the booked guest

Long weekend stay at Poplar Cottage

We enjoyed our stay in Poplar Cottage and wish we could stay longer! We loved the enclosed garden and it was perfect for 3yo to run around in. Unique destination accommodation

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely new accommodation on the Mornington Peninsula. Not only was our accommodation very comfortable with disability access features (for an injured family member), the picturesque property was a destination in itself. The highlight of our weekend was our welcoming host Miriam, giving us an interesting farm tour of the property, which included meeting some of the rescue horses. We also enjoyed the heated pool and toasting marshmallows one evening. We look forward to returning Miriam. Thanks so much for accommodating us!

Brand new farm escape

Wilindi Estate is a beautiful farm with a number of almost new residences. It almost felt like we were the first to stay, it was all that clean and new. The residences have great internal facilities for a regional foodie visit and well equipped kitchen facilities with all you need to enjoy the areas produce. The bedrooms are comfortable and warm with heating and cooling provided throughout. Our host Miriam, was super friendly and helpful on arrival to help us settle in and get comfortable. We even got to spend sometime with the horses on the farm which was a lovely experience for my daughter. Would happily go back in staying in the area again!

Luxury haven with horses

Miss teenager and I had a relaxing escape at this lovely farm stay. Beautifully appointed cottages with large private garden and good attention to detail. Miriam's commitment to caring for and restoring trust in the horses she has rescued is very inspiring. Aside from admiring these beautiful creatures, we enjoyed a swim in the heated pool, a BBQ on the deck and lounging by the firepit at night. Perfect mix of related hospitality and attentiveness.

Fantastic

We had an amazing long weekend. The cottage is spotless and has everything you could ever want. What you really need to know though is, that this isn’t just your normal holiday cottage. The Farm is a labour of love for Miriam which shines through in all the extra touches. The rental income helps her to rescue and continue to care for horses. This trip was a real experience. We loved having use of the outdoor pool, and Miriam has even more grand plans in the shared spaces. The farm tour that Miriam offers allowed us to get to know the stories of the rescue horses and understand her rehabilitation ethos. My 6 year old has left captivated and I know made some great memories of her new ‘friendships’ with the horses. We look forward to returning, hopefully with friends so we can take all 3 cottages and share this wonderful place.

Our stay was out of this world… my husband, our two daughters and I had the best time!! Miriam was simply awesome and extremely helpful. The cottage was SPOTLESS and smelled sooooo gooddd! If you need a family getaway, it’s definitely the place to be!!

Amazing 🤩

We had such a wonderful time at this beautiful property. Miriam was a wonderful, friendly and helpful host. She made us feel welcome and respected our privacy. Showing us her beautiful animals, it is clear that she is an amazing, selfless individual. The cottage we stayed in was squeaky clean, very comfortable and fully fenced which meant a lot to us as we had a toddler with us. It was fully equipped with everything we needed. There were activities for the older kids, something for everyone. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome, allowing us to see your beautiful property and involving us in looking after your beautiful animals. We will definitely be back ☺️

Our stay at Wilindi farm

As soon as we drove into the property we were instantly impressed and knew we were going to have an amazing stay. Miriam was the perfect host, she was informative, friendly and made us feel very welcome. The property is beautiful, private and has everything - A stunning pool, friendly horses, chickens and beautifully manicured gardens . The cabin was well appointed with coffee machine, lovely outdoor area and everything we needed , it was so clean . We highly recommend staying here, and can’t wait to return again soon

I would rate it a million stars but five was max. I would suggest staying here if you want a peaceful holiday. Jarvis aged 10 My favourite part was the horses and patting them. The pool was good too. I rate five out of five. Molly aged 8

Dream Farm Getaway!

We had a wonderful experience at Wilindi estate. This was our first trip with 3 kids under 5, and poplar cottage was perfect. From the lovely cottage and court yard to the beautiful pool we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful holiday. The animals and thoughtful hospitality adding to this amazing retreat! Fantastic Getaway!

We had the most incredible getaway at this property! We were fortunate to be one of the first guests to stay in this newly built and beautifully styled cottage. The surrounding gardens, pool and activities (especially the farm tour, horse grooming and quad bike) were great - our kids had the best time! Miriam is a fantastic host and has put so much thought and care into so many details across the property. We feel completely relaxed after our short stay and would definitely love to visit again. Magnificent experience, host and accommodation/property!!

We had the most amazing week on the stunning and relaxing Wilindi Estate property. The cottage is so beautifully designed and set up with every need and more in mind. Each cottage also has their own personal outdoor space which is so peaceful to sit and read in. Miriam was an exceptional host and my children loved getting to know the horses and becoming involved in their daily care. Family friendly farm getaway!

Our family of 4 were honoured to be the first guests to stay at Wilindi estate in the 'Poplar" cottage. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous, well appointed and is disability friendly. The large terrace was wonderful for the kids and provides a private outdoor space for chilling. The whole property has an English Manor vibe with beautiful hedges, well established trees and lavender/rose gardens. The heated pool is wonderful with lots of chairs and shade/umbrellas for guests. The host Miriam and her family went above and beyond to show us their farm which is home to friendly rescued horses and free range chickens. We were invited to assist with grooming and tending to the horses which we all loved!! The proximity to Mornington makes this property very unique as it has a rural feel but you can be at the beach within 15 minutes. We didn't want to leave and would have extended our stay if it wasn't already booked! We will be back!
