Casa de campo de 1940 totalmente renovada en Warburton

Estas cabañas muy privadas de la década de 1940 acaban de renovarse por completo. Los dos dormitorios principales tienen camas queen size y hay una habitación para niños con una litera.
La casa también cuenta con excelentes áreas al aire libre con una cubierta orientada al este que se asoma sobre el valle del Alto Yarra y un patio de piedra con una fogata funky.
Warburton es una ciudad de montaña genial con muchas opciones para excursionistas y ciclistas. La casa está a 500 metros del sendero Acueducto que serpentea por el bosque. La ruta ferroviaria Warburton - Lilydale es popular entre las familias. Los ciclistas más aventureros pueden enfrentarse a Mt Donna Buang, Reefton Spur y Acheron Way.
Warburton tiene muchos cafés geniales, tiendas únicas y un popular pozo para nadar en el centro de la ciudad, y hay bodegas en el valle para degustaciones.
La casa está ubicada en las laderas más bajas del monte Donna Buang, que tiene juegos de nieve y tobogán en invierno. También se encuentra a 45 minutos del centro de esquí de fondo en Lake Mountain.

My husband and I booked a little weekend getaway with our 2 year old daughter.I feel that the description ‘20 steps up or down to the property’ is a little misleading. There isn’t anywhere really to park your car and it is pretty treacherous. At the bottom of the property there is no car park unless you are blocking another drive wayAt the top there is a very steep driveway that you can’t access unless you have a 4WD.There was also a huge wasp nest blocking the stairs from the top so we couldn’t access the property that way without getting stung which both myself and my husband did. We contacted the owner after we got stung to let him know so he could inform the next booking however he was less then concerned and said that he knew about the wasp nest but was waiting until it was cooler to get rid of them which I don’t feel was an appropriate response.The inaccessibility of the property made it stressful to get in and out which was not ideal to go sight seeing, go out for dinner etc.The property itself was lovely however one of the showers was not sealed which meant we couldn’t really use that shower without getting the bathroom soaked.There are lots of nice places in Warbie without these issues. I would give this one a miss.

3 bedrooms, pleasant, best water pressure I've ever had, outside cobwebs a bit unsightly but part of natural vibe. Neighbour's veranda 50 odd meters away but the effect behind the plants is essentially isolation. I could drink the water straight from the tap and it was quite nice. Snacked on some mint from the garden as well. The steps and ramp aren't onerous unless you have a mobility issue. Parking out the front is in a shared driveway, but on the property at the rear. I could hear the small stream, under the fern trees on the other side of the driveway, from inside the main bedroom (which was nice).

Great house in good location. Would recommend and will be happy to stay again. Be mindful that there are stairs both front and back when carrying luggage and if it’s pouring with rain you will get wet. On the positive side, there was heaps of dry firewood to get toasty once you’re inside.

Great short stay getaway that feels secluded. Facilities as advertised with good wifi, and plenty of room for 2. Property access a challenge and would not recommend for young families or for anyone that cannot manage 20 plus steep steps.

Check-in was easy and early check-in was provided when asked. Access to the house was difficult from front and back, there's a number of stairs to contend with. The listing indicates that the house has great outdoor areas. The deck and view is nice, but the property is on a significant hill and there's no yard to speak of. Kitchen and bathrooms have everything you need and the bedrooms are adequate. Overall, a pleasant stay, 3.5 stars.

Exhausted mums seeking some time away from the families. The house is a restful place, with a good fireplace and cottage feel. The beds are comfortable and so as the hot water. We enjoyed the time there. Iain was easy to talk to and he gave us a late check-out which was very appreciated. May not be suitable with elderly or young children as the access involves steps and backyard not enclosed for running. Minor issues with parking being a bit tricky and the security door sticky to open. If equipped with a dishwasher, it would have been perfect.

We loved our short 3 day/night stay. Absolutely loved the stream alongside the house. Heaps of wood for a fire. Excellent hot water system & kitchen had everything we needed plus the added bonus of a coffee machine. The surrounds of Warburton were beautiful & we left feeling very relaxed. Thank you.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, however more attention needs to be paid to the guest experience. The rate is not cheap, therefore guests expect a certain level of finesse and care. There were a number of issues, in particular: - filthy pots and pans - no soap provided in either shower - no hand towels provided in either bathroom - not enough kindling provided for the stay (it had been raining leading up and any kindling on the property was wet - no offer was made to bring us a supply) - firewood provided was too big to burn, no axe obvious to find - The listing states the accommodation is suitable for children, however we recommend having a highchair available - Providing a guest handbook is recommended - this was an issue as the mobile reception is not great and we weren't able to access all the guest information online. Iain was really helpful in this particular instance and texted us all the info. All in all, the location is fantastic, we really enjoyed sitting outside and soaking up the country air in a beautiful part of Victoria.

Sweet old weatherboard. Decor a little lacking in small touches and character. Limited kitchenware. Bathrooms nicely renovated. Beds comfortable. Divine garden and views. Iain lovely to talk with, accommodating.
