"If you are even remotely thinking of staying at this property, DO IT! We were intrigued by the idea of staying in an old railway car, but the experience far exceeded our expectations. The grounds around the rail-car were spectacular. Gardens, flowers, fish-pond, and an exceptional fire-pit. "My husband and I traveled from SC to KY for the Hot Rod Power Tour. We had booked other accommodations for the first 4 nights of our week-long vacation, and decided we would just wing it after that and stay wherever we decided along the way back home (maybe a slightly foolish decision considering the busy month of June). "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Stella cottage. Our biggest positive was cleanliness. We would have thought the place was brand new. Easily the cleanest place we have ever stayed. The check in/check out process was easy. The property is beautiful. We had a very quiet and peaceful stay. We only have one regret… Wish we had booked another night! "The hotel was okay overall, but a few things stood out that made the stay less enjoyable. They did inform me that room cleaning was only done upon request, which I appreciated. However, when I did request it, the service was minimal—they made the beds and changed the towels, but the floor remained noticeably dirty. It felt more like a quick refresh than a proper cleaning. Breakfast was included, but the options were exactly the same every day. If you're staying more than a night or two, it gets repetitive fast. Not a terrible experience, but definitely room for improvement in both housekeeping and variety of amenities."
