Our two-bedroom, one-bathroom air-conditioned penthouse apartment with free Wi-Fi was upgraded in February 2025. It is right at the front of the Puerto Marina gated community. It is south-east facing and has sea views from the balconies outside both bedrooms, and from the large, south-facing terrace, which keeps the sun on it all day. It also has panoramic views from our private rooftop solarium, which is furnished with easy chairs and sunbeds.

Our apartment is perfectly-located for all the essential ingredients of a beach holiday. Everything is within a 15-minute walk on flat terrain, and it's close to Murcia airport, so a car is not needed. Within a 5-minute walk are Lidl, Consum, Aldi and Mercadona supermarkets and a pedestrianised parade of cafes, restaurants, bars and local shops.

Puerto Marina is a modern, secure gated community in Los Alcazares. It is beautifully maintained and pushchair/wheelchair-accessible throughout. It has 3 swimming pools, each with adjacent shallow children's pool, and a high level of security - key access is required to enter through the community's perimeter gates, as well as to each block of apartments.

Within a 10-15 minute walk, at the end of the parade, is an amazing stretch of beach with fine golden sand and the shallow, calm sea water of the Mar Menor lagoon. This is reputed to be up to 5C warmer than the Mediterranean Sea. It is safe for toddlers and its shallow depth means it is home to a wide range of water sports in the summer months. The beach stretches for miles and is flanked by a 4-mile long beachfront promenade. There are small beach bars/cafes at regular intervals.

Lovely week in the sun

Quiet area and a short walk to lots of restaurants and good supermarkets. Very nice well equipped apartment and very clean. Good size balcony to breakfast etc and a roof terrace for sunbathing or to bbq.

Good property. Slight issue with second bedroom beds (2 Singles) the beds are very small and would be what i class as 2 childens beds as not a stanard single. Apartment is in an excellent complex close to bars/restaurants, with a lift in the block. The twin bedroom needs better mattresses on the beds and the bathroom is outdated with a faulty shower door. The solarium had broken loungers that we couldn’t use and was baking in the mornings - the new umbrella was too heavy to install and there was no sun at all in the afternoon.

Brilliant stay. Lovely apartment. Perfect location. Kitchen had everything and then some. Local team fantastic. Been to Los Alcazares lots of time. Stayed on this Urbanisation before. This was easily the best and best value for money. We would definitely go back.

A very nice winter stay

We stayed for 10 weeks. Couldn’t find a better located penthouse apartment for all day winter sunshine, security and access to town and all amenities. Lovely 10 minute stroll to the sea front. We enjoyed a very mild winter. The apartment is heated by warm air conditioning which, although we hardly used, warms very quickly and comfortably when we did require it. Excellent property and owner

Booked for 10 nights for our family of 4 in late July/early August. Both the owner and local property manager were really helpful before and after booking. The apartment was spotless when we arrived with everything we needed and more. Air con in whole apartment worked perfectly, more than enough plates, glasses, utensils, dishwasher, washing machine etc. I would say that this apartment is one of the best located in the complex for both sea views and the welcome breeze on the balcony. Owner clearly places a lot of value in customer experience and no hidden extra costs/onerous terms that you sometimes get with private rentals. There were three big pools which our 2 girls loved (both under 10) and plenty of space to sunbathe etc without being on top of other families. I would 100% recommend this apartment and owner based on our experience.

Fabulous apartment in good location with all amenities close by

The property was beautiful and clean with all we could ask for available. The roof terrace was a bonus and its location being within a stones throw of all the supermarkets, beaches and local towns. We hired a car for our stay and were able to travel a bit further afield but this would not be required. We visited the local beaches and some further away, we walked into the Spanish Old town and visited the local produce market on Tuesday morning. There was a fair close by for evening entertainment and we even managed to see local evening entertainment - however the Spanish have a very laid back approach and most evening entertainment does not start until very, very late!! The beaches were clean and the pools within the complex were suitably available throughout the day from 08.00 -22.00, which meant a pleasing cooling off swim at around 20.00 was nice. This area of Spain has a typically Spanish feel to it - there is plenty of other appeal also. Thoroughly enjoyed our time here, would recommend to friends and family.

Booking process with Steve was very easy, Deborah & Rob the property managers were also very helpful. The apartment itself was as advertised well equipped and very clean, the furniture/beds were all comfortable, the WIFI had a good signal as did the TV with lots of UK channels, the balcony and roof terrace were well equipped with tables, chairs & sun loungers. The apartment is a 6/8 mins. walk to a numerous amount of restaurants & bars the beach is a further 5 mins on were you can walk for miles. Overall an excellent stay, am returning in September

Lovely Apartment With Wonderful Views

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay in Steve's fantastic apartment. It is clean very well equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. We ate in most of the time and conveniently there are 4 supermarkets within easy walking distance. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby too for eating out. The views from the sunny balcony and roof terrace are wonderful, looking on to the Mar Menor in the distance. The complex is very well maintained with 3 pools and lovely landscaping. We are regular visitors to Los Alcazares and are sure we will return to this lovely apartment again.

Lovely apartment,well equipped and clean with great views.

Stayed 10 nights and had a great time. All amenities close by, shops, restaurants etc. 15 min. stroll to a wonderful clean beach with plenty of cafes and bars. Bus down to Cartagena costs under €3 each way and runs quite often. Sea is always calm in Mal Menor which is great for children.

Gorgeous apartment in a great location

Stayed at this apartment from 17-27 June. Really couldn't fault it. Apartment itself is immaculate, good quality furnishings and in a fantastic location. Lovely terrace for sitting having breakfast with great views. Added bonus was the roof terrace that had the sun all day, we used this everyday. Handy room off the roof terrace with sink, washing machine and chairs which could be taken down to the pool. Car not needed as everything within walking distance. Old town about a 15 min walk, well worth a visit as some lovely Spanish bars and a couple of nice restaurants. If eating in the square Angela's Italian Restaurant and Rosalinds roof garden are well worth a visit, great food and good value for money. A trip to Cartagena definitely worth a visit. Bus stop outside Wok 222 about a 10-15 min walk, 2 euros and approx 30 min bus journey, lovely city with good shopping and restaurants plus plenty of historic sites. Will definitely look to book again in the future.
