Cozy Adirondack getaway nestled in a pine grove in the desirable High Peaks; Minutes from downtown Lake Placid, 10 miles from Whiteface Mountain, walking distance to the Olympic Ski Jumps, Horse Show Grounds. This inviting 3 BR ensuite bath townhome offers plenty of indoor and outdoor space, private outdoor screened porch and outdoor upper/lower decks. Hiking, fishing, birding, swimming, biking, golf, tennis, water sports, downhill/cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowshoeing, minutes away!

Three floors of living space can comfortably accommodate 6 people. Our luxury townhome includes hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, fir wainscoting, rustic log railing, granite countertops, stone fireplace and radiant heated tiled entryway and upstairs bathroom floors. Expansive Great Room windows bring light and the wooded setting indoors. The screened-in porch on the main level is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or enjoy the sun setting from the front porch or on the common area field by the fire pit.

On the main level, a gourmet kitchen with GE stainless steel appliances and beverage center, island seating for 3, dining room for 6, Great Room, half bath, screened in porch and open-air deck with a quality, Weber charcoal BBQ. Two bedrooms with ensuite baths upstairs, master BR with king bed and second BR with queen bed. Lower level includes additional BR with ensuite bath and queen bed; two spacious entertainment areas; laundry room and outdoor covered patio. WiFi is strong and there are 2 Roku equipped TV’s.

After a day of enjoying the many activities available in the heart of the Adirondacks, cook a homemade meal in our fully equipped kitchen or fire up the BBQ (or go out to dinner in town!!) before you snuggle up in front of the fire in the Great Room to read, enjoy an adult beverage or watch TV.

This home is was one of the best experiences we’ve had yet. Everything you need to be comfortable is provided. The kitchen is well stocked and very functional. The living room with the fireplace and floor to ceiling windows was the perfect place for everyone to sit, relax, and socialize. The quality snd decor really set this home above any others we have stayed in. It was immaculate in terms of cleanliness. The owners were very helpful and super accessible before, during, and after our stay. I can’t say enough good about this house! Highly recommend.

My husband and I stayed with two other couples to celebrate some birthdays. Colleen and Mark were excellent hosts and were very responsive to any questions we had prior to our stay. The house is absolutely beautiful, cozy and immaculate and has everything you would possibly need- towels, dish detergent, hairdryers, and plenty of bakeware and cookware to use. We are all foodies and really appreciated that as we were able to make an amazing breakfast on Saturday morning.Our favorite part of the day was coming back to the house after a long day of strolling through Lake Placid, having a few cocktails, playing games while enjoying the wonderful fireplace. We will definitely come back to this beautiful home and hopefully stay an additional day so we can squeeze in some skiing too.

The place was more than clean - immaculate! The kitchen was very well supplied - everything you could need and then some. Location was great - very quiet and close to great hiking trails and Lake Placid Main street for restaurants and shopping. We only had three people, so had plenty of room to stretch out. Highly recommend.

Our family had a great time here!! Everything was clean, new and in prefect shape. There was enough room for everyone to be together or to take some time on their own if needed. Wat een fantastisch huis!

Het huis is fantastisch. De foto’s doen de werkelijkheid tekort. Het huis is heerlijk ruim en het is heerlijk rustig. Genoten van het fijne huis en Lake Placid en mooie Ironman herinneringen gemaakt. Colleen en Mark zijn ook super behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Het liefst waren we nooit meer weggegaan!

Highly Recommend Rustic Retreat!

I can't recommend Rustic Retreat enough for a stay in Lake Placid. Comfortable, cozy and very clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the necessities. There was more than enough room for our party of six to spread out and relax and we all loved hanging out in the main floor living room with the wonderful fireplace. Colleen was great to deal with and her welcome package is very informative. Located just outside of downtown Lake Placid, it is very convenient to all of the Olympic venues as well as getting to the surrounding towns in the area. Definitely a great place to stay!

Peaceful spot

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was close to town but just far enough for some peace and quiet. Loved the screened in porch and listening to the birds. Very well stocked all around and Colleen was super accommodating to all our needs.

Great Family Weekend

This is our second time staying here. Once again it exceeded our expectations. The condo is gorgeous and impeccably clean. The kitchen had everything we needed. Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at this centrally located townhouse. Everything was decorated beautifully and the place was sparkling clean. It had everything you could think of for a long weekend away. My teens enjoyed the finished lower level and we all had plenty of room to relax after skiing. Easy check in and check out. We’ve rented several places in Lake Placid and this one was top notch! Super Clean and Spacious!

Our family came in for a lacrosse tournament. We have been coming for many years trying to find the perfect place and this one is by far the best!! We had never stayed at a townhouse before because we like our privacy and also don’t want to worry about noise from other groups. However we were delightfully surprised! It was a very quiet townhouse community away from the busyness of town with woods and lots of grassy areas as well. Even though it wasn’t walkable to Main Street with Grandma (80), it was just minutes away by car and very close to the athletic fields. The unit had everything you would need, especially for cooking. We are foodies that like to cook and the cookware was top of the line. We were very impressed. Our college aged kids loved the separate family room in the finished basement along with their own bedroom and full bath. Colleen was easy to communicate with and check in was easy. Instructions regarding the unit were all easy to follow. We would definitely love to stay again!

Great family getaway

We went to Lake Placid to celebrate our daughter’s birthday for a fun family ski weekend. The weather was absolutely freezing but the home was warm and inviting. We have rented several homes in LP. This was by far the best!! Our hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed staying at this cozy, well appointed house near downtown Lake Placid. The house was clean and decorated beautifully. Tranquility

We stayed at Rustic Retreat for a week. The house and neighborhood are very peaceful and easy to settle into. It was immaculate, and I am very hard to please! Everything was well equipped, down to coffee, sugar and creamer for the Keurig. Our only minor complaint was that it was a very warm week in Lake Placid and the complex does not have air conditioning. But there are ceiling fans, and once we opened the windows the Adirondack breeze started cooling things down. Overall a wonderful stay!
