Bedroom itself was a bit dark as the wallpaper was dark grey, as were the curtains etc. Also, there was a very bright security light outside which made sleep difficult. Shower screen dud not go all the way around the shower, resulting in a wet floor."

"Room furnishings are very dated and in a state of disrepair e.g. stained carpets, furniture drawers wonky and not closing properly, door handles coming off, the list is endless! I had to request a change of room which was slightly better and the in-room safe didn’t work. And when explaining this to staff I was asked what colour the safe was and was then met with an ‘ah, ok’, as if they expected it not to be working from the colour it was, remarkable! Evening meal was no better than supermarket...

"Room was booked 24hrs prior to visit. Room was great. Staff were very friendly. Locals equally welcoming. Lovely bar area with ample seating. Didnt get to enjoy breakfast due to needing to rush over to Lime Street to spend the rest of the day travelling home. However what was seen coming from the kitchen looked delicious!! "

I arrived at the hotel at night only to find out that they had canceled my booking to resell it at a higher price to someone else, taking advantage of the fact that Liverpool FC was playing that day. "Stayed here for work. Easy to find, lots of parking and a nice quirky building. Good Bar and great stafff. Room a little dusty. Evening meal absolutely out of the park good- I'll be staying here from now on for this reason alone. "
