"Great hotel for a 1 night working stopover "

"This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and at £85 for the room, it is frankly unbelievable how poor the overall standard was. From the moment I arrived, the tone was set by an incredibly rigid and unfriendly approach. I asked about check-out time and was told it is strictly 11:00 AM, and even being 5 minutes late would result in a £20 charge. "We booked a room on floor 14 with a river view. It is an extra £20 per night but it’s worth every penny. The staff are so kind and helpful giving us oat milk for the tea in our room and replenishing everything and tidying it all each day of our 4 night stay. The only reason for not giving it full marks is that it would have been good to have a mini fridge for our milk alternative and the cabinetry had the space and a socket for one so couldn’t fathom why it was missing as it’s a basic standard...
