Contemporary 2BR Villa in Jolly Harbor

Villa Felicia is one of the biggest & most modern 2 Bedroom villas in Jolly Harbour. The villa has been extended and fully renovated in 2014 to include modern conveniences within a contemporary and comfortable house that’s perfect for groups of friends and families up to 4 people.

The villa features upscale and elegant furnishings throughout including a fully equipped modern kitchen with a pantry, stainless steel appliances and a comfortable dining table and chairs sitting 6. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything a chef would need: large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, cooktop/stove, oven, microwave oven, toaster, coffee machine & grinder and a wide range of cooking & dining items.

The villa has ceiling fans throughout as well as air conditioning. There are 2 Patios (back and front of house) to enjoy with comfortable sitting for 4. The villa has Internet/Wifi and two flat-screen TV’s (60” & 47”) with a wide range of US cable channels.

The main floor contains a large and spacious open plan living area with kitchen and dining, leading out to a patio with a large Webber BBQ and table + chairs for 4 people. The villa is an end-unit and you will also find a beautiful garden full of Caribbean plants leading out from the patio. The main floor also contains a convenient half-bathroom, washing machine and a parking space in front of the villa suitable for a car or golf cart.

The stairs lead upstairs to two bedrooms. The Master Bedroom includes a walk-in closet and has a US King-size bed and the 2nd Bedroom has a US Queen-size bed. Both bedrooms include ensuite bathrooms with contemporary finishes including rain-showers and large mirrors. The Master Bedroom leads out to a balcony with spectacular water views of the hills. The second bedroom leads out to a large balcony with garden views. Both bedrooms also have dressers and plenty of storage space.

The villa is located with 3-4 minutes walk to the North Finger beach and with 10 minutes golf cart ride from one of the best beaches in Antigua the Jolly Harbour Beach. Jolly Harbour is a gated community with 24-hour security and a variety of amenities such as: large swimming pool, tennis courts, squash court, fitness gym and golf course. The community also includes a large supermarket, a commercial center with restaurants, banks, ATM’s/bank machines, pharmacy, hairdresser/beauty salon, souvenir shops, car rentals, golf cart rentals, real estate agents, boat companies, tour operators, etc.

Jolly Harbour is conveniently located only 30 minutes away from the airport, 25 minutes from St. John (the capital) and 40 minutes from English Harbour by car or taxi. Jolly Harbour is located on the west of the island bordering the Caribbean Sea where you’ll find some of the best beaches in Antigua: Jolly Harbour, Fryers, Darkwood and Turners.

Great Location

Villa was very clean. However;dishwasher didn't work, water heater was accidentally unplugged so no hot water for a couple days. That was fixed immediately once reported to property management. The master's bath toilet seat needed to replace and water leak from toilet tank was annoying. I felt this should have been thoroughly checked. Other than that, great location. property manager was friendly and was on time to deliver keys upon arrival.

Golf Cart Definitely Needed

Overall the villa was comfortable and functional. The appliances, living room furniture, main bedroom bed and both TVs are old ( both TVs should be replaced). The only major issue is the main bedroom bathroom shower has no water pressure and little hot water. This is a very large community. The only place you can walk to is the north beach. Thankfully this unit comes with a golf cart ( again, very old and beat up ). Golf cart rentals are $25 per day. If you need one, pre book before your stay, they go fast.

Great Location in Jolly Harbour

Thoroughly enjoyed the property: location is good & the use of a golf cart is ideal. Felisha was excellent to deal with, both prompt & accommodating. We were met by her onsite cleaning staff member, who seemed like she was in a rush to leave. We left a message for her because we could not get the barbecue lit, unfortunately we did not hear back. The villa was clean & comfortable, a gift basket of coffee, tea, & wine was a nice touch & appreciated. We would certainly recommend staying here!

Great views and free golf cart!

We were very happy with this villa in Jolly Harbor. It was very clean and modern, well appointed, well located and the air conditioning worked perfectly! There are two balconies (one for each bedroom), a patio and a dock. There is a gas grill and we had several fun meals grilling and eating on our patio. The free use of a golf cart was a great surprise! We were able to get around Jolly Harbor for shopping, dining and the beach with ease.

Villa was just average

The villa was average. The air worked well, but other things were either broken or in disrepair. I really must put blame on the rental agency, not the owner. They were not helpful at all and didn't seem to care. Some suggestions for the future: Get a simple coffee pot, place needs better lighting, ( it was almost impossible to read at night), plastic cups would have been nice for outside, fix all the golf cart problems and fix the cable , so the tv would work in the bedroom. Jolly Harbour was old and not kept up very well. The pool was closed which was unfortunate since the seas were rough and churned up. The power kept going off. We did go on two excursions which were well done. The beach near the villa was uncrowded, but due to the weather, it was covered in seaweed! If a few things would of been repaired, I would have given a better review.

Very nice rental

We stayed here for a week. We were greeted by Carissa who checked us in. At first we were concerned as the golf cart we received only fit 2 and we are 4. The owners were very helpful and got us a car for the week as there were no golf carts available. The rental unit is a bit far from the main area of restaurants, marina and supermarket so this was much appreciated. The rental unit itself is very comfortable and contemporary. There are just a few general repairs needed but nothing that would prevent me from renting this unit again. The customer service was prompt and friendly. Just some suggestions for future renters.. the unit is not stocked. There wasn’t any cling wrap/foil, salt/pepper/spices, extra garbage bags, etc, so you should be prepared to spend on those items. Bring mosquito repellent. Take the garbage out daily so little insects don’t wander in. There is no information sheet in the unit (which would be helpful) as to where the garbage/recycling is, what the unit cell phone number is or if you are able to use it, or how to check out - be sure you ask. Hope this is helpful.

A wonderful place to unwind

My friend and I had a superb time. The house was clean, exceptionally well furnished and our host could not have been any nicer or more helpful. I hope to return very soon. Also the air conditioning was extremely effective! Thank you Felicia for a great holiday.
