"We really enjoyed our stay at the Walhampton Arms. The staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient with assisting in our requests. This is a great place to stay to experience the local town. You get the perks that come with staying in a hotel balanced with the “mom and pop” feel associated with B&Bs. We will be looking to stay at their sister locations for our next city break! "

"Lovely accommodation in great location for exploring the New Forest. Breakfast was freshly prepared with a good selection of cooked food, although limited cold choices. Pub garden is large with various areas for sitting out. This was just as well as the Filly Inn does not have air conditioning which meant that our bedroom was far too hot to spend any time in. Shame as it was a lovely room with great shower room. The staff did provide us with a fan but it was not up to the job of cooling...

"This is a beautifully situated old mill on a gentle stream with gorgeous grounds. Idyllic. Just outside Lymington but a short 8 minute drive into town or to the ferry. Dinner was good with excellent service. Nice room, comfy beds, good bathroom. We were there on the hottest day of the year so it was very hot in the room but a fan was provided which helped."

"It was perfect for what we were after. A night in Southampton before getting an early ferry. Location for that. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Really helped make the stay. Only thing we would change would be a fan in the room, as widows didn't open much to get air flow. That said it was one of the hottest nights of the year. "

"We booked the room thinking we had access to the spa as all photos showed it, but when we got there we didn’t have access to most spa areas, which were a premium service on top of the room cost (over £250/night). The room was spacious but it’s old fashioned and didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. Disappointing."

"Terrible. Not at all as advertised. Front door was unlocked and open on arrival. Room door was open on arrival and unlockable. Room window was damaged and stuck wide-open, completely unclosable. I called the contact number and had no answer and received no call back. I arrived towards midnight at the property and still chose not to stay here."

"Building site, semi naked men drinking and lighting bonfires in the car park, litter everywhere! After waiting nearly 2hrs in 30° heat to get in our room, we booked elsewhere"

"Horrendous. Oven was so dirty it couldn't be used. Room has one mug, one towel, one pillow - two of us staying. Dirty sponges left at the sink, clearly used multiple times. Bed was horrific, worst mattress I've ever slept on, very old, bed falling apart, not even a full size double. Husband and I are very average in size I had to try and sleep either end of the bed - didn't help due to the noise of other residents all night. Fridge not cleaned, food still in there from last person.Young men...

"Was dirt Pillows were old and tatty and we woke with neck ache Was only one cup that was cracked , no spoons to make a drink , towel was tiny more of a hand towel Bed had bits in and stain on quilt cover Set of drawers had screws sticking out and no handles The place was noisy and has drug gas calendars outside the front door There was constant banging from upstairs We didn’t sleep . There was no microwave Wouldn’t stay ever again and put me of the Experian website We only used...

"Absolutely unfit for rental. No bulbs in lamps. No towels. Only boiling water in the shower - unable to take a shower. We had to go to lesure centre to be able to shower. Never again."

"Do not book this property. Didn't get an access code, from the outside the property needed a lot off work done. Was told exspedia had got the dates wrong & shouldn't of but it on website, was given an alternative which had broken glass & empty bottles all over the floor outside the main building. The room was tiny with no bathroom & we didn't feel safe at all so refused to stay there. Had to pay for somewhere else to stay as we where four hours away from home. Cost us a lot of money to get...

"Do not stay. No staff in property. Got passcode for a room that's different from my booking. Property was dirty and the room had someone else living there. I met people that rent one of the room for months (which was the room I was booked for), and told me the other room (that I got passcode for) also has a person living there for months. I had to find a different place to sleep urgently, and I'm trying to get refund."
