"Hotel had a central location near Bologna Downtown and Two Towers, lots of shops, restaurants and stores nearby mini marts and grocery stores. Good bathroom and room size...interesting small door to get into room. Hotel is old but in good condition for age. Elevator was a savior but only 1 person and 2 large suit case's per trip or 2 people with luggage. A/C worked well...small bathroom and room but we expected it from the other reviews. The accessibility to downtown and walkable access to...

"Sauberkeit im ganzen Hotel, sehr freundliches Personal, ca. 200 m zur Bushaltestelle, Zimmer zum Eingangsbereich ruhig. Der Bau der Straßenbahn in der Nähe wir sicher noch einige Zeit dauern, daher Bummel unter der Arkaden der Hauptstr. nicht angenehm. Die Baustelle an der Rückseite des Hotel hat aufgrund der Lage des Zimmers nicht gestört. Sicherer Privatparkplatz! Insgesamt empfehlenswert."

"On our first visit to Bologna we figured we would stay at the hotel Metropolitan because of its location in the city as it was fairly central to all the interesting areas and gave us a great place to start to explore from. One thing to note is that it is a bit of a walk from the train station, but the walk is nice and is mostly under porticoes which made it much more enjoyable. The hotel itself was very clean and nice and the room was set up very well. I did read from other reviewers about...

"We arrived after 36 hours of travel and no luggage (lost). They helped with some toiletries and were welcoming. Across from train station worked well for our travels"

"We stayed one night at the end of our trip. So wish we could have stayed a few more days! The accommodations were absolutely lovely. Location great! The staff were so accommodating and helpful. They called and made dinner reservations and provided us with a snack in the morning when our flight left too early for breakfast. Would highly recommend!"

"Stayed for 2 nights in late September, in triple room. Excellent hotel for our needs! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast out in the courtyard and orangery was fantastic!! A great place! Highly recommend in your wanting an authentic Italian stay! "

"A charming hotel, our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff- everyone was so helpful, friendly, and went out of their way to take care of us. Alina made sure every day started off with a fabulous breakfast and a smile. "

"We stayed in the most extraordinary room I have ever seen. All four windows overlooked the rooftops of Bologna. The light at all hours was like a painting. The remote control shades gave you control of the amount of light you experienced. It was complely private but you could see the cathedrals and towers unobstructed. The staff was minimal but very helpful and gracious. The linens were clean and high quality. An extraordinary place."

"When we arrived at the properly we were a bit worried if the area would be safe as a single woman travelling with a child as there were a few people lingering outside. When entering the properly I was greeted warmly by very professional and friendly staff. The decor was absolutely beautiful and the breakfast was superb. The room was clean and so comfortable. The area was very close to great attractions in la Rambla. We didn’t have any problems with the hotel or surrounding area and felt safe...
