"The property is very well looked after & staff are fabulous. Ellie in the morning at both breakfasts and our check in & out was great. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We ate both times at the pub, breakfast & dinner, I think the menu is too big which led to some inconsistent dishes being serviced. "The room itself was fine, but the amenities were poor. The room is only made up if you're staying more than two days, and even then it's only on request. Our bins were never emptied in a week. Tea and Coffee was not refilled. The self check-in procedure worked badly, and required an extra £10 per day parking fee, which I was still charged even when not using the car park. Despite trying to position itself as a family hotel, access to the pool is limited for families, and the onsite restaurant...

"No air conditioning on site in the room, windows barely opened, they did not have enough fans, so were unable to provide any to us, during a heatwave. Room had no mini fridge; no hot water to shower with across multiple rooms as all complained about the same things during time of a wedding event."

They give you a desk fan in the room however this did absolutely nothing for the room temperature. The hotel itself is absolutely charming, and the staff were ridiculously welcoming and kind willing to help us with anything we needed to make our time there more comfortable. It’s right in the heart of town and within walking distance to the castle, food and shopping. This is a great find and reasonably priced for the standard of room and service! Highly recommend!"

"The best thing about the stay were how friendly & helpful the staff were. The best staff I have ever met in a hotel. Everyone was so accommodating from reception, waiting staff & cleaners. The hotel owner is very lucky to have staff like this & they are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was really good also. One piece of feedback but not important, maybe consider investing in a coffee machine as I missed my cappuccino!"
