"Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed at a more reasonable price point than most in area. Standard but decent breakfast included. Would love to see coffee maker in room, and conditioner in shower - shampoo only. Appears new in listing photos but is actually a renovated comfort inn/motel. Main floor rooms all drive-up with sliding doors. 2nd floor seems more secure. Easy access to Go Station for visits into T.O. without the price tag. Will stay again."

"Neither of the two front desk staff we interacted with were very friendly. The bathroom near the lobby had just been mopped and there was no wet floor sign, leading me to go flying when I walked in.
The room itself was nice, but the ac spent all night turning off and loudly back on."

"Our room was spacious and bright with excellent blackout curtains for night. Bed comfortable with bed linens and comforters that are fully washable (no worries who or what was previously on the bedspread 😉.) Room well maintained. Breakfast is good for a complementary breakfast — included hot options and the coffee was actually good.
Lots of parking and greenery around the building. Staff welcoming and every staff member greeted and smiled when passing them is the hallway.

"The price and what was described was accurate. What was annoying was that the hair dryer and irons are only available on first come first serve. As well it seems that there’s minimum communications between day and night time receptionists. I extended my stay because we came back at 5am. The admin almost came into my room and woke us up at 11:30am for checkout"

"I booked this hotel with breakfast for out of town grieving guests with breakfast included hoping to make their stay easier. They were told at checkin that it was not included. Subsequently after some stress at a time we didn’t need it, plus conversations the staff realized their error but by then it was already upsetting for me and my guests. Just one more thing we didn’t need for a $300+ hotel night in Oshawa. Do better with the next folks."

"Stayed 4 nights. Overall, the hotel was just okay for the price, but I wouldn’t consider it a great option for families with young children.
The room was noticeably dusty upon arrival, with dust on the coffee machine and counters, and there was dust and hair under the bathroom sink. Housekeeping also did not service our room on the first day, despite us confirming the day before that housekeeping was provided daily. After being out all day with kids, it was disappointing to return to a dirty...

"Overall, Union Hotel is a very nice hotel and close to Toronto’s downtown core including to the Scotiabank Arena and Rogers Stadium.
The bathrooms in the swanky queen rooms are a tad small to my liking but that’s more of a personal preference than anything. They have a great rain shower though.
Staff were also very helpful. We would probably stay here again when we’re in town again."
