"A really lovely hotel and we couldn't fault the superior room we stayed in. Staff were friendly and keen to help, breakfast was cooked to order and was delicious. Lovely bar area and off course Pecks restaurant now on site - which was the reason for our stay at the hotel (Dinner at Eight). The only slight disappointment was that the website indicated there would be a band on from 6-8pm on the night we stayed but we were told they haven't been booked for January. It didn't spoil our stay...

"Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us. The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful. "What an excellent property we found! 12 of us stayed for mum's 65th birthday. Welcomed to the smell of mulled wine & mince pies. Nicely decorated for Christmas throughout. Fantastic, peaceful location. Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. No need to take anything other than clothes, the property had everything needed. Owners were fantastic. Great communction beforehand. Would definitely return again."

Had a great welcoming from the owners on arrival with freshly baked flap jacks and lots of local knowledge shared. A book regarding the building was also an interesting read.
