"What a lovely find in Pembroke! John is a fantastic host with plenty of interesting stories, and the property has a wonderful family history that adds to its charm. He's thoughtfully modernised it to meet guests' needs, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotlessly clean.
The location is ideal, with several key attractions nearby, including the beautiful Barafundle Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return to this little gem.

Had to bring our own cot as property does not provide them.
Property fairly newly renovated, but lots of snagging required throughout the room, attention to detail needs refining (shower screen soiled with water marks, tap/shelf loose fittings, sealant coming away around the bathroom/bedroom, paint chips/marks over walls need touching up, balcony outside had soiled decking and furniture and faux plant/pots broken, wonky. "I came in on the late ferry arriving just before midnight, expecting a room key left on the desk; nope, a sweet lady greeted me & carried my suitcase up to my room. Didn’t expect that so late in a small hotel in a small village. Room had everything I needed. They were fine with me leaving my suitcase for a while in the morning while I went for a walk. Very convenient to both the ferry & train station."

"We arrived to no one around and after walking around the property finally saw an envelope with our name on it and our key. Our room smelt moldy and damp. The carpet was dirty and the walls were peeling. The beds were very uncomfortable. It was shocking to see after such a high rating. The yard was unkempt and there was a general air of neglect about the whole place. "

"The room was clean and tidy however it was unbearably hot due to a lack of air con and alrhough a fan was provided it could not deal with the heat in the room. There was no fridge to keep water cold and milk from going off, . In the bathroom the toilet seat was really loose and the sink is so tiny it was impossible to have a wash.
