"Love the property. We stayed in building 6 (one of the 3 with a private hot tub on the patio). Had a small kitchen with dishes, a hot plate, and mini fridge. Most excursions will NOT pick up from this property, as it is out of the way. We had a rental car, so everything worked out. Driving to this location is not for the faint of heart. "Hotel Sanctuarium deserves high praises. The property is absolutely stunning from the moment you pull in to the front gate to the welcoming staff waiting for you at the door. Such a warm welcoming with a welcoming drink and a tour of the property. Even have access to the river. The room is spacious and clean with a walk in waterfall shower head. "Incredible resort. Would rush back in a heartbeat. We had the cheapest rainforest bungalow and it felt like a suit. Gorgeous bathroom, animals surrounding you, hammock outside was lovely. The breakfast was incredible, the food in the hot springs was excellent and the staff were amazing. Particularly the guides who went out of their way to help you and spot animals and birds for you. The only issue we had were tiny ants in our room that made a few surfaces unusable, and we had to be very cautious not to prepare food in the room. "Secluded location (right down the road from the Monteverde Cloud Forest) with beautiful views of the mountains. Walked into town, which was quite a hike but hiking was the reason for my trip to begin with! Santa Elena is very picturesque with plenty of amenities and catching a cab ride back to my hotel was no problem. Wish they would have had a safe in the room, but other than that i would highly recommend! "
