Beachside Retreat is a fabulous 2-bedroom 2-bathroom located at the Seascape in Galveston. You can walk right outside to either the pool or the ocean. 

Beachside Retreat is a fabulous 2-bedroom 2-bathroom located at Seascape Resort in Galveston. Our condo will comfortably sleep 8 guests


You can walk right outside to either the pool or the beach. The inside is light and bright with open concept living and dining areas.  The kitchen is fully equipped and also has a regular coffee maker.


The master bedroom has a king bed and the second room has a queen. There are also galley bunk beds and a sleeper sofa. Each room has its own flat-screen television. For guests' convenience, a washing machine and dryer are located in the unit.


Seascape is one of a handful of complexes located beachside in Galveston. You will not have to cross a busy street to get to the beach. Guests at Beachside Retreat also enjoy all the amenities offered by Seascape Resort including a beautifully landscaped courtyard/pool area, seasonally heated pool, 2 hot tubs (one for adults only), gazebo, beach observation deck, beach side BBQ and picnic area, and private parking.

Parking is located underneath the building. This unit is granted 2 parking spaces.

Beachside Retreat is on the secluded West End at Seascape Resort. You’ll be less than a 10-minute drive to Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn, and The Seawall, with restaurants, shops, fishing piers and more. Groceries and souvenirs are just minutes away.

We loved our stay! The house was super cute, cozy, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The host was very accommodating and responded to inquiries right away. The beds were comfortable. My 8 year old loved the bunk beds. The home was in a perfect location- right on the beach with beautiful views of sunrises and sunsets! The pool and the hot tubs were enjoyed by all of us! The AC worked wonderfully (I like to sleep in a cold room)! We can't wait to come back!

Overall it was good. The condo needs some work and general updating. Cleaning should include the patio area, sweeping and bird poop on chairs/table. I read a July review saying that the tv in the master(king bed) did not work. I called, was told it fixed, it wasn’t. No trash can in the bathroom for that room either. Paint was peeling badly off the vanity in the bathroom for the other ( queen size) bedroom. The elevator had problems upon arrival and then it quit working twice during our 4-day stay. As in the other reviews, a Keurig would be nice and some decent frying pans. Heard king bed was not very comfortable, ours( the queen) was fine. Liked the sofa/bed. It was comfortable to pull out and rest while watching tv. View was of the beach was nice for a room on the RV park side. Water pressure and temperature was good.

Fit our needs perfectly!

This place was exactly what we needed and more. We didn't really have time to enjoy the pool but it's very convenient to the beach. It had everything we needed to cook with, even had some spices. Clean up was a breeze. Directions were clear. We were a little confused by the tv remotes, we only wanted it on for background noise while we played games so it wasn't super important to us, but still a little confusing. Parking was interesting. If there is space underneath you can park but not in an "owners" space. Which were the only empty ones. So we had to park on the outside, not a huge issue. You'll receive your property bands when you drive in, wear them at all times. They take security pretty serious. Overall it was lovely. If skydiving, the drop zone isn't far from the place. That's what we were there for and it worked out. Some family just walked over to watch us land. Highly recommend.

This property has a great location with direct beach access and close to major activities. There were some items that should be updated like cooking pans, silverware, outdoor patio furniture. The excellent location made up for all the other issues.

Place was dirty, rug needs to be replaced. Patio furniture is rusted and cigarette butts and trash was on the patio. Building overall needs repairs on the exterior. Off site manager did communicate, but wanted pictures of the dirty areas. Master bed TV didn’t work they offer to send someone over, in the am in the chat. But the we got a call at 4pm so we passed. Good location but needs updating and better cleaning.

Amazing Weekend

Unit wonderful with Beach access. Great view of the from the balcony. The property was up to par. The pool and bathroom access were clean and no trash anywhere. Definitely on the list to stay at again.

We'll be back

Our stay was very enjoyable! We were happy with our unit, it was close to the elevator and parking. I would definitely return in the future! The A/C was cold. Having a washer and dryer was a plus!My kids, spouse and I loved the pool and hot tub areas, also Beach access was so convenient.My only complaints are, the TV in the master bedroom was not connected to cable/internet.(We like to enjoy our shows before bed) The other thing was, the blender was missing the top part that holds the liquid, It was just the base.

Just Okay

It would have been a wonderful stay had the elvator not been broken after I unloaded and took my handicapped mom up to the first floor, then wasnt able to get her or her wheelchair back downstairs to go to beach or literally do anything. The property managers refused to answer emails and left no phone number to call. Could have been a great stay but it just wasnt in the works for us. Zero communication whatsoever and they refused to acknowledge my issues. managers refused to answer

Overall stay was good. Nice view of beach. Complex is right on the beach. Minor issues in case you didnt know- no tp bar , vent not working, loose towel bar and towel ring , loose toilet seat all in master bath. Master bed squeaky. Disposal didn't seem to work in kitchen. Hair dryer in 2nd bedroom didn't seem to work.Couch not very comfy to sit on. to work in kitchen.

Excellent stay

Place was clean, comfortable... Ok, the couch sux, but aside from that, suite was great. Kitchen a bit lightly stocked... no pot holders, no decent skillet, etc. Hard to cook a real meal. Beach access excellent. Condo facilities were great, nice pool and hot tub, very comfortable. Everything easy to access. Security folks were pleasant. Access was fine, parking is good. Lots of local attractions nearby. Galveston beaches are not what those used to Florida are expecting. Silt and grit. That's not this place's fault, of course, but if you're expecting Sarasota, this ain't it. Of course, there weren't any hurricanes blowing through, either :D

No fighting Seawall traffic to get to the beach!

We loved the Seascape community. I wish there was an adults only pool, and it stayed open past 11pm. Overall a quiet community and the elevator is a nice touch. The trip to the beach is so nice! Seascape is a great place to stay and this condo had everything we needed. Commu ication with rental company was seamless and prompt and check in was a breeze. Will be using them again and will stay in this room if available for sure. Easy walk to the beach.
