"This was my third visit and it’s the reason I return to Scotland. The property is so unique and I always have an amazing time, so much so that I took my nephew from London! The team did a great job looking after us! The lady who checked us in and delivered our breakfast in the morning was a real gem; I can’t remember her name- but she was a genuinely lovely lady and I’m sure it won’t be long until we return!!! "This hotel is probably better situated for a tourist stay in Edinburgh than many of the hotels downtown. There is a tram station right next to the hotel and it takes only 15 minutes to get to the middle of Edinburgh. It might take longer to walk there even if you stay close to centre town."

"I liked the restaurant/bar area with lovely views over Edinburgh. Free parking is great and a great bust service to most places. A nice walk into the centre and The Castle. 20 mins walk to Morningside/Bruntsfield where there are lovely places to eat, have coffee/cocktails. Downside are the rooms, which are very tired and in need of renovation. I believe this is going to happen. Grand old building"
