Fairway View Retreat at Tamarron Resort (Gambel Oak #731) is our two-level condo featuring a gas fireplace, full kitchen, a large private deck facing East and another deck facing West, many windows with big views. There is cable TV in the living room, along with a sofa and pull-out sleeper chair. The full kitchen has an island, full-size fridge, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and regular drip coffee maker. The dining area has table seating for 6. There is a full bathroom on each level with updated walk-in showers, and an extra vanity space upstairs. For your convenience, the condo also has its own washer and dryer. The large deck has seating, an electric grill and big views. Lots of natural light in this townhome with views of the San Juan Mountains and the Glacier Club golf course - sleeping for 5.

The Wi-Fi speeds of the unit are appx 100+ mbps. Our Tamarron rental guests can play Glacier's 18-hole Valley Course at an exclusive discounted rate. Details will be provided in your rental instructions. Just a few stairs to the front door - no spiral staircase to enter.

ON-SITE AMENITIES AT THE LODGE INCLUDE: indoor pool, outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, steam shower, fitness center, golf at a special discounted rate, tennis, pickleball, playground, 3 on-site restaurants, and event center. There is an EV Charging Station available for guest use in the Valley Clubhouse parking lot, adjacent to the Tamarron Lodge.

LOCATION: Tamarron sits at around 7800 feet in elevation and is just 10 minutes south of Purgatory Ski Resort and 20 minutes north of downtown Durango. Many guests stay here to visit Purgatory Ski Resort, which offers a variety of restaurants, winter and summer activities, and festivals/events.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (white water rafting, horseback riding, etc) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, etc) activities.

4WD is recommended in Winter (Dec-Mar).

Perfect location with beautiful views

Property worked out great for us. We loved being halfway between Purgatory and downtown. Enjoyed the indoor and outdoor heated pools and hot tub. Great amenities on property.Our only complaint was the pillows were horrible. Next time we would bring our own as we would definitely stay again.

Winter Paradise

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this facility. It was clean, and functional. It was also very true to its description in the listing, and we found everything we needed. It's location was perfect, within minutes to the slopes, shopping, food, or town. The onsite workout facility was great, very friendly and staffed, along with indoor and outdoor pools and hot tub. Onsite dining was also excellent at Mineshaft and Prospector. Property owner was also quick to respond when contacted. We loved the fireplace in the sitting room, and the full kitchen. Our kids enjoyed sledding on the property as well! The only thing I would suggest is a few more pots/pans to use. Also, the rug in the dining area seemed to attach fibers to our socks, sort of like pet hair! PJs market was very close if you need anything and offered a wide selection of specialty items as well. We enjoyed lunch at The Nugget too.

Great place. Loved the view from the back deck. Had issue with the shower draining slow and management quick to respond and fix. Short drive to Durango. Perfect for our golf/Blues Train weekend!

Very Disappointing Cust. Svc. from Property Management Co.

Arriving at the unit, I saw that the shades over the patio door were broken. Maintenance fixed them within 2 hours, but this should have been handled prior to my arrival. It was a chilly evening. I attempted to use the fireplace but it did not work. I contacted VRC for assistance and they gave me text instructions. Instead of advising that the fireplace is turned off in summer (which I discovered next morning), I wasted an hour trying to get it to work based on the text instructions. Having known that information up front would have saved a lot of aggravation. Communication with the remote VRC mgmt. company is a challenge. That night, I picked up the rest of my family at the airport. It was a late flight and we were all exhausted by the time we got to the unit. We were eager to unpack and be ready for our activities early the next morning. Finally at the unit, the key card didn't work. We went back and forth to the lobby desk 3 times until it was determined that the battery was dead. Now 3:45 am, we were told the mntce person (who lived an hour away) would arrive at 4am to change the battery! Finally got in the unit and ready for bed - 4:45am. Found food crumbs, sand, and at least one dead bug in the bed. I changed linen at 5:30 am. Also, towels in master were still wet from previous guest. After insulting compensation offers from VRC for this awful experience, we requested a full refund and found accommodations in Durango proper. Very disappointing experience. Never again!
