There was also a very loud tenant above us that revelled in stomping until 11 at night. The restaurant was great for dinner with excellent food and drinks. Breakfast was over-priced and un-noteworthy. The beach, pool and hot-tub were all nice and private."

"Colonial Inn is always a launching point for our OBX trip. They are affordable and convenient for a Friday night stay on the way further south for a following week. We appreciate that they don’t require a 2 night stay and use them regularly as a result."

"This was a great place to stay especially being on the ocean front. It was quiet, relaxing, and the breakfast was spot on. Star was very courteous and helpful along with the maintenance staff when our shower head malfunctioned. The maintenance person was there in 10 minute!!"

"Bill and Veda made our stay at the Cypress House Inn so warm, inviting and comfortable! The rooms were clean, bed was comfortable with both firm and soft pillows provided, and bathroom was beautifully designed with a roomy shower and handheld showerhead for convenience. Right outside our room was a well-stocked coffee and tea bar with filtered water available. "The property was right on the beach/sand dunes. There is a set of stairs and a ramp over the Dune from the parking lot. We had a ocean front room with balcony that was very enjoyable. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, full bank of windows facing the Ocean and nice bathroom. Breakfast was a treat every morning with fresh brewed coffee and a hot or cold breakfast; In tidy surroundings. Hotel is centrally located for restaurants, sites and fun. Ample parking. "Like nearly everyone else, we are not crazy about the kiosk check in and check out. Occasionally, a word will be garbled in transmission and the person at the other end will be oblivious to the communication problem. They don't respond to questions very well, or respond inappropriately. "

"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Tranquil House Inn in Manteo while we explored the Outer Banks. The rooms and service were great, and the location right on the water in downtown Manteo was perfect. Manteo has a charming downtown that offers plenty of shops and attractions without feeling too touristy. We also really enjoyed the light breakfast offerings each morning and the staff were so friendly and helpful."
