"The Sunburst House is truly an amazing experience. Connie is the perfect example of a premier host. The house is spotless; the check in & check out process couldn't have been easier. Connie will respond very promptly to answer any questions or concerns. You have complete privacy & all the comforts of home. The property is pet friendly & well behaved dogs are welcome. "Fantastic place to stay (seven of us in total) while we visited family in nearby Cambridge, NY. The owner was incredibly friendly and proactively checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of dishes and equipment to make cooking meals at home easy to do. Easy to get to the stores we needed and bring groceries into the house. The back porch (entrance) was enjoyable as well when the weather permitted us to sit outside and relax. Really enjoyed...

"OMG - this place is fantastic. An oasis of peace and quiet yet close to so many things - Albany Rep for theatre, 38 mins away, Saratoga - 38 min away, Bennington museums - 38 min away. Manchester VT - 38 min away. This house is so impeccably appointed and comfortable, you want for nothing. Add in the "see to the horizon" sight lines out your bedroom window and you know you are in heaven. You know the host cares for your comfort - she has even added a bit of magic to your stay"

"Our shower was broken so it constantly dripped. Other than that we loved it. Clean and cozy. Kids loved the pool"

"I cannot tolerate staind and dirty bedding. I put my sleeping bag on top of the well worn bed. The property is apparently transitioning from quality inn to choice. It shows. Just not clean. It is absolutely ridiculous for the price. I just slept best I could and left. This is the second crappy place in Vermont that I stayed at. State needs to implement some standards. Almost $200 for this place."

"The hotel had no record of my reservation for July 25, 2026 booked through Expedia when I arrived. The new owner told me by phone from another location that the hotel was fully booked and had an ownership change. My companion and I were left high and dry with no place to stay in Bennington. I had to reject an offer of accommodation in Rutland 50 miles away. Expedia and new owner, please take responsibility for this lapse."

"Nice quite place to stay the night. No second floor, so there was no chance of being disturbed by people walking above you. Clean room, including the bathroom. I liked that it had a mini fridge so we could put food in it that we brought with us. There was also a separate freezer where I refroze my ice packs over night. Very handy. I didn't have any food to reheat, but if I had, the microwave would have come in handy. I did use the coffee pot for coffee in the morning. I took off a star...

"It was very clean, very very cute, you don’t have direct view of the lake from the porch but there’s a super cute little pond and the lake is a ten second walk from the cabin. If you’re worried about the AC don’t be, it works incredibly well and never gave us any issues!"

"What a delightful little cottage! Windows on all sides let the sun and stars in and the weather out. We were welcomed by grazing cows and saw a spectacular firefly show at dusk. The perfect escape from the modern world."
