"I enjoyed my stay but I think it's more of a 3 star than 4 star hotel. I booked a king bed and found the room very narrow with the bed wedged up to the window and only accessible from one side - ok if youre a solo traveller but it's inconvenient as a couple. Generally the place felt clean- apart from the noodles someone had tipped down a sink in the ladies toilets. Breakfast was just ok - for expedia/hotel to say its popular with solo travellers & then for the hotel to only offer a breakfast...

Some people might find it a quirky hotel and appealing because of this. But I totally disliked it. Negatives: 1. No lift so you have to carry cases up many akward steps. 2. Mold and damp in rooms. 3. No ventilation as windows didn’t open. 4 Breakfast only had a continental option. 5. Unhelpful staff. 6. When the room upstairs...

"Room was great, very clean, comfy bed. Customer service was lacking unfortunately. Check-in was slow but ok. The girl at the desk mentioned a new system being the cause of the delay. There were a few people waiting but only one person behind the desk. Checkout was actually terrible. We left early, about 6am. The girl behind the desk had headphones on and didn't remove them until we were right at the desk (she did see us coming). I had to tell her the room number three times in the space of 5...

"You get what you pay for right in this case. The hotel is shabby but the room and the bathroom were very clean. The staff were all very friendly. The location is very good as only a short walk from Rotterdam Centraal, close to the central part and the tram stop is just outside. "
