"This spot was awesome! The neighborhood didn’t have a great reputation with the locals but we honestly had no problems at all staying on this part of the island. The hosts were wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed and even offered lots of really great recommendations for things to do while we were there. "We did not stay as planned. My wife had an emergency appendectomy on Friday afternoon and we did not make it to Kona. The owner had contacted me earlier with instructions and i replied to him that we had to cancel due to the medical emergency. I am waiting to see if i will get a refund from the owner as the cancellation was not in accordance to the cancellation guidelines. "

"We loved living here! For two incredible weeks, this home was our personal slice of paradise. We lived with the windows and doors open nearly all the time, letting in the breeze, the birdsong, and the peaceful rhythm of the island. Our daughter loved sleeping on the futon on the lanai most nights, falling asleep under the stars and waking up to the sounds of nature.The house was peaceful, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped for a comfortable, restorative stay. "Clear communication, easy to find, great location for Hilo activities as well as Volcanoes National Park. Jeff greeted us and was available for any questions we had.Really felt like home with the amenities, so very comfortable! "Beautiful home and beautiful views! The "backyard" was full of yellow tangs, the resident turtle, and spinner Dolphins almost every morning. Snorkeling out back was challenging with a hurricane in the Pacific (waves were very kicked up, the surfers loved it), but we did get out the last few days and it was amazing. "This place is huge! There was plenty of room for us to spread out and not get in each other's way. The pantry was also well stocked with things you might have forgotten to bring, which was a plus. The area is in a quiet neighborhood except, of source, for the coqui frogs that plague Hawaii. Even those can be charming with the right mood. "This home was perfect for my husband and I for our honeymoon. The views are gorgeous and every sunset is breathtaking! Great spot for fishing as well! "This place was perfect, I was close to a wedding at the Outrigger without the Outrigger price! This was much more spacious than illustrated in photos, great space and ideal layout! The property was relaxing and quiet, and I loved the pool and balcony! Had to watch out for a few lizard friends trying to break in :). No issues, and great communication and recommendations from Stan! It would be a pleasure to stay here again!"

"We had a family vacation and it was a lot of fun. It was. nice to have 4 king beds for adults and two children 8 and 3. The adults that needed to go downstairs were hot without air conditioning and no windows to open for air circulation. The ended up opening the door to the available garage to try and get air to circulate. The only suggestion I have is to install AC in bedrooms to night sleeping. "

"This is a beautiful, spacious country side property. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is a complete spice rack, olive oil, some coffee, sweetener packets and creamer. Liked the 2 queen beds (one sofa bed) and a king. Most places here have full instead of queen. Bath was well stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Shower floor was non-slip.
