"Our stay at the Carmel Apartments in Falkirk was a wonderful reminder that you should never judge a book by its cover—or in this case, an apartment! From the outside it looked fairly ordinary, but stepping inside was a completely different story. "The appartement itself was well appointed and very comfortable, but our experience was negatively affected by an incident in the parking area. We were approached by a male individual who we could not identify as either a guest or a member of management. He berated us for how we had parked, speaking in a rude and intimidating manner. Had there been an issue with our parking, a polite explanation would have been appreciated. Instead, the interaction left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. As...

"Room was clean and comfortable. Check in was smooth. The dryer didn't work very well. We did reserve for 6 days, for the price of the room you would think you would get 1 cleaning day. I missed the note that there is a cleaning fee of $50. We had to bring dirty towels to front desk and get clean towels, toilet paper and other supplies. But other than that the surroundings are quiet, easy access to public transportation and lots of good restaurants nearby. Thankful there we fans in the room."

"Perfect location and noise bearable (with ear plugs) as on main road. Apartment was well kitted out and no real issues. A tiny (and cheap) thing but may needed for shower as very slippy and none provided so had to use a towel, not ideal. Only thing that is likely to prevent is staying again is quality of mattress - too soft and so not terribly comfortable sleep. If replaced for better quality one then would certainly do so."
