"This property is all about the views and the location. The house is very simple and comfortable. It would be a little cramped if more than six people were staying and they had to stay inside for any length of time. The downstairs sleeping area is somewhat barren. The property owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Again, this property is all about location and the incredible views."

"We stayed here with our 2 kiddos ages 10 & 12. It was clean and cute and the kids were totally blown away by the experience of staying in a hobbit house! It definitely has a motel vibe, and the kitchenette is small, but there were some decorating touches that really added to the hobbit feel. The owners provided space heaters that were really nice to have, but the bunk room definitely developed a musty smell that we couldn’t get rid of. The property is really pretty to walk around and super close...

"A super clean, tidy, and comfortable place to stay in laid back Kawhia, The ever changing view over the harbour as the tide rolled in and out was very relaxing and even though the fishing trip was cancelled due to the big swell we had some quality time to chill out. "4 family members had a wonderful weekend. Splendid convenient position in quiet settlement, well equipped kitchen. Glad weather was brilliant so easy to use outside deck as living/ eating area. Useful to have additional toilet( in laundry outside) for guests in the sleepout. little dog happy & safe in fenced area. Clean & comforyable with huge choice pf specialty teas!"
