"Amazing vacation! The Main House plus 3 cabins gave ample space & privacy for our group of 20 babies & 4 dogs! The backyard is perfect for campfires & play area for the young ones. Being so close to the public street access was very convenient! Renting a pontoon from Go Fast made the vacation complete!! We’ll be back! Already booked for 2026! Thanks to Jeremy, Cathy & April (plus crew) for making our stay so memorable!"

"Staying at the cottage was extremely pleasing. The cottage was just perfect, like Goldilocks, not too big, not too small, but just right. The proximity and access to Higgins Lake was again just right. On the morning of our departure, we were already discussing our return visit. All in all, Jillian and the cottage were perfect! Five golden stars ! "

"Great place to stay at Higgins Lake!! The house is clean & updated and feels like home - all the amenities you need, and then some, plus an amazing view!Everything was clean and comfortable. The whole family enjoyed it!One note for guests - bring water shoes for going in the lake out past the owner's boat. Couldn't be happier with our stay - it was awesome and the owners were responsive and gave all the necessary information. Seamless check-in, stay, and check-out.We loved it!"

"Just got home from our stay at naughty in the woods wow an amazing spot if you’re into using side-by-side or riding the trails at Houghton Lake. Great location, conveniently located by plenty of bars and restaurants auto parts stores and a Walmart. Only 1.2 miles from the Denton Creek trailhead which is a blast. It offers great trails in great scenery. When we got done, we lit a fire outback, and sat and laughed about all the time we had on the trails. We will definitely be back a great spot!"

"We recently stayed here for a wedding and, despite our busy schedule, we thoroughly enjoyed our time.I was particularly impressed by how comfortable the home was and how relaxing it felt to be on the beach. The privacy and peacefulness of the property were also greatly appreciated. Plus the view was phenomenal!I hope to have the opportunity to return in the future when I can dedicate more time to fully experience everything your place has to offer."

"Had a wonderful fall weekend here! The place was so cozy inside! We loved sitting in the hot tub with the outside temperature so cold or just around the fire talking! The host was amazing This was probably my first rental with such an array of complimentary items! The bathroom was stocked with anything you could have forgotten and more(thankfully because I did forget something!) The coffee/k-cup/tea setup was great and loved the honey sticks! "

"Our stay was great, plenty of room for the 5 of us staying. We also had family members come for the day, and we all enjoyed the atmosphere, and the things to do in Houghton Lake. The house was well equipped with everything we might have forgotten back home. We loved being in the backyard having bonfires every night."

"Lovely, lovely, lovely! Great location/neighborhood. House is very warm and inviting. Kerrie sets the bar for VRBO hosts. House is so well-appointed with everything you could possibly need and surprise extra touches like farm fresh eggs, specialty popcorn, and even a s’mores welcome basket! It’s definitely home away from home. Highly recommend and would positively stay again!"
