"We stayed this past week with our two dogs, and it was a wonderful family vacation. We stayed in the Blacksmith Cottage, which was fully-furnished with everything we needed. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked with pots and pans, and the oven and fridge were great to have. The bathroom was clean and comfortable. "Overall, our group had a pleasant time but there were a few things that effected our stay: We were given two different unit numbers for check-in, which caused some minor confusion. The apartment was not as clean as we would have liked; the toilet bowls were pink, the washer clearly has mold growing inside it, and most of the floors could have done with a good vacuum mopping. "The property was in a great location to the places we needed to be. We were disappointed that there was 1 bath towel, no wash clothes and two hand towels for our use. The listing stated two bedrooms, it was one bedroom with a pull out sofa however stated the unit slept 5. There were no sharp knives in the unit. I normally carry a ton of items and have gotten out of the habit as these are things that should be standard items in the units. "

"Very spacious, affordable property nestled off Richmond Road. Very clean, great hosts and the house had all the amenities needed. Can’t think of a thing they missed. Fresh eggs daily, if you like! Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown area. "

"House was immaculate. The location is prime. With a bakery next door and a park just blocks away you can't beat this location. We were 2 miles away from the riverfront venue we were in town for. The neighborhood is safe and quaint. "

"Location AWESOME! Easy walk to VMFA and Carytown shops and restaurants! Charmingly renovated and decorated antique property Plenty of hot water for showers. Bedrooms are off the street and protected from traffic noise. Coffee and snacks generous and much appreciated Hope to stay here again! "

"We had an excellent experience. Lynley, the property manager, was incredible. She responds immediately and takes care of the property very well. There were a few things that needed attention but very minor. It was not an upscale place, but very affordable and in a neighborhood with lots of families close together. It was the perfect location to lots of things to see and do in Richmond. "

"The owner was very prompt and clear in communication, lives in the same building, so greeted us warmly, the property was clean and cozy and well appointed. The neighborhood is close to so many sites we wanted to see. Parking can be a little challenging in that area, but nothing we weren't able to work around."

"It was an amazing stay. We were welcomed into a perfectly immaculate home that was exceedingly quiet the whole time. They have so many wonderful amenities right there. The only thing that took me by surprise was that one of the rooms is more of a loft because it doesn’t have a door on it. "
