"It's a great hotel, but it's disappointing to find out that half the place is under construction and most amenities are not available. Wish that had been shared prior to the reservation and they should not be charging a daily resort fee either. "

"The room was clean enough, but the ac did not work properly. It wasn’t able to be adjusted from our room. The bed was awful. Way too soft to be comfortable and it sank in the middle. Our room adjoined another that had kids in it and was right across from the elevator. I will not recommend this hotel or stay here again."

"Location location location. That’s what you’re paying for. Nice quiet hotel with adequate accommodations. The breakfast wasn’t up to standard. It’s just a few items -no eggs or meats. There are nicer hotels costing less , but they’re not located in the historic district with easy walk ability"

"Parking was an adventure and there didn’t even seem to be any dedicated spots for residents/renters with the summer traffic it was hard to find a spot to park. "

"I was shocked at the location. I'm glad I didn't plan to walk to the historic area, as it was not safe. The room was shockingly small, too small for even a bedside table to ut your glasses or phone on. It was made of concrete. This made it very loud in the room and uncomfortable. The bathroom door was basically for show and did not feel private. I would not stay here again. I would sleep in my car before paying to sleep there. "

"My favorite hotel in Charleston. Antique feel. Rooms are small, but that’s expected in an antique hotel. It’s beautifully decorated and convenient to all of downtown Charleston."

"Great location. Our key card would not work the first afternoon so we went to the complimentary happy hour and when we went back to our room the problem was fixed. The complimentary breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
