"Despite the rain we had a fantastic time in this excellent property. Well equipped and maintained professionally. My wife has limited mobility and was able to move around the property using sticks and a walker with no issues. The large bathroom has a walk-in shower which she could easily use with a shower seat as she was able to walk right up with the walker. "What a beautiful location for a lodge! The lodge itself was well presented and clean with everything you would need, but by far the best things are the views and the peace. You are only 15mins away from Keswick. We will definitely be back."

"Really good cottage only about 2 mins walk from centre of Ambleside. Had everything you need for a nice simple stay in the lakes. Great views from the front room over the hills. They’ve just had a car parking space put in which is very handy. Great communication with owner throughout. Would definitely come back."

The house was beautiful, plenty of room for everyone, although to be honest we spend most of our time in the cosy but large kitchen and adjacent games room. Many period features allowed you to really experience how they used to love. Kirby Stephen high street was a stones throw away, making it convenient for local shops and pubs. Would highly recommend for a large family get together"

"Just returned from a week at Richmond House, where everything has been renovated to a high specification, which makes it a great holiday home. The kitchen is well equipped with quality brands. All the wardrobes and bedroom fittings have been well thought out. Big walk in shower and large free standing bath. Again all the bathrooms have been fitted and finished to a high standard. "Property- fantastic. Many walks to forests/gardens/fells right from the property- Ferry to towns a 10 min walk. Grounds were charming- the kitchen is incredibly well kitted out for those who like to cook- very comfortable beds and the communication was great with the owners."

"We had a fantastic long weekend on the Graythwaite estate. The property was immaculate and well equipped, with plenty of space for a large group and comfortable beds. If you like the Lakes and the activities it has to offer then this is a great place to stay. I would have given 5 stars but for the heating, which uses storage heaters and the property was cold in the evening, particularly on the first night. Also be wary of the fan/light over the hob which was very easy to bang your head on."
