"We stayed at the cottage house which is outside the main building. It was very spacious and has an indoor jacuzzi tub which is why we booked it. The hot water is pre-heated, so it was just enough to fill the tub. There won’t be hot water after if you wanted a shower. Also, an important downside for us was the wifi signal is so weak that neither our phone nor laptops could pick any signal. Was a bit disappointed in that regard as the hotel is aware of the problem but made no effort to fix it....

"Stayed for one night as part of my walking trip. Was instantly made to feel comfortable and was offered a piece of cake, which was a lovely touch. The room was clean and large for a single and the bathroom was great. Breakfast was also lovely. For the price, it was excellent value. "

"What a find! This beautiful hall is just perfect. Fabulous location with peacocks and lovely trails to walk in the extensive grounds. Our room had a super king bed and usual facilities. "A lovely guesthouse with a lovely owner. It’s walking distance to everything in Keswick. Lots of information on walks etc provided. A fantastic cooked breakfast is included in the price. The only negative for me is the radiator in my room wasn’t as hot as my friend's room downstairs and I really feel the cold. Otherwise perfect."

"Nice staff, although weren’t flexible about cancelling or changing the reservation when asked. Area is nice and close to the town. Room and bathroom were nice. The bed was annoying for a couple, as it was supposed to be a superior double room but the bed was two single beds put together. The bed sheets were supposed to hold the two beds together, but it didn’t really work well. Sleeping together would mean one of you would end up sinking into the gap in between the two beds.
