Multiple decks with modern and comfortable furniture offer gorgeous sunrise and sunset views, including sound and ocean views. Plenty of seating and space provide the perfect atmosphere to relax with your family or group at this recently renovated and thoughtfully appointed Whalehead Beach home. Outside, a private pool, hot tub, volleyball court, tetherball court, basketball goal, and outdoor shower set the scene for a perfect vacation. There is even a sandbox for the little ones. Inside, guests of all ages can relax over a game of pool, board games or a movie in the great room or the lounge, and there are plenty of new smart TVs and DVD players throughout this gorgeous home.

Six bedrooms (3 masters) will easily accommodate your family group. There is a short, less than five-minute walk to the beach along the Mackeral Street Beach Access path in the spacious Whalehead Beach neighborhood.

TOP LEVEL:
The Great Room includes the living and dining areas with dining seating for 16 overall. The updated kitchen has stainless steel appliances and is well-outfitted to prepare family meals with the kitchen island that has seating for 4. The dining table has outdoor views to the east and the breakfast table near the kitchen has seating for 4. There's a half bath on the floor as well as a King Master Suite with a private bath (shower/tub combo). The top level sun deck is a wonderful place to relax and leave your cares behind.

MID LEVEL:
Stairs down to the mid level offer several bedrooms for family members: another King Master Suite with a private bath. A Queen bedroom has deck access to the covered deck outside. Two bedrooms: one with 2 Twin beds and the other with 2 Pyramid Bunk sets share the hall bath with the Queen bedroom.

GROUND LEVEL:
The Lounge has a large flat-screen TV and the game area offers a Pool table. The kitchenette will come in handy for preparing snacks or storing beverages in the second full-size refrigerator. The Queen Jr. Master Suite on this level has a semi-private bath. The laundry area is located next to the kitchenette.

EXTRAS:
The outdoor areas, well-situated on the roomy nearly half-acre lot, offers a beautiful pool (16' x 30') with plenty of furniture, an outdoor sound system, a large hot tub and there is both a gas grill and park-style grill for charcoal for cooking outdoors. There is an outdoor shower and a sandbox for the little ones. Don't forget the sand volleyball court, tetherball court and basketball goal for family-friendly competitions! If it rains, there are plenty of games, puzzles, books, and movies to enjoy. There is also parking for 6 vehicles.

the property was wonderful. a few things could of used some TLC but everything functioned as needed and we really enjoyed our stay! would book again.

Our family has stayed at multiple homes in OBX for several years and this home was by far the worst home we have stayed at. The home had unacceptable maintenance and cleanliness issues that we found starting immediately upon arrival. There is a large piece of broken concrete in the driveway that sticks up several inches, in which our 5 year old tripped over, causing a minor injury. We found broken glass in the pool area that we had to clean up. The cement surrounding the pool is in very poor shape, and the pool itself needs updated badly. There were several dead frogs in the pool filter so we’re not sure how long it had been before that had been cleaned. We found an old pair of shoes under the bed in the master bedroom and also cockroaches. A lot of the dishes in the cupboards were disgustingly filthy. The door in the double bedroom does not latch shut and the window fell out of the frame unexpectedly in the same room. There is a broken plastic vent in the bunk room that is very sharp and does not fit in the floor properly. We also found that the washer did not work on our 2nd day at the home. We contacted property management and someone was sent later that day to look at it. He was unable to fix it and an appliance vendor was to come. He came 2 days later and also could not fix and had to order parts so we went without a washer for our entire stay. They did offer to pick up our laundry and do it for us however it took 36 hours to receive our clean laundry back.

A firm answer on beach chairs would have been helpful. We used valuable space in the vehicles needlessly because there were chairs there. Some of the dishes were dirty with a buttery film. All in all it was a good stay!

The house is in a great spot, Corolla is a beautiful area. Being a few blocks back it is about a 10 minute walk to the beach but the decked path to it makes it much better. Overall the house was great for our group, loved the 3 masters on the levels. The biggest recommendation would be to clean a little better. There were several dead bugs around, and areas where it looked like the house wasn't cleaned well. The exterior of the house was filthy and a power wash would do wonders as well as updating some items like the falling down fence around the pool. None of this was a major inconvenience but you like to see some better upkeep when you spend the money and go on vacation. Overall it was a good house for our group of 13 with kids. We had a lot of fun on the volleyball court and in the pool.
