Villa: Spiti Espede

This charming holiday home is situated next to an olive grove in the picturesque village of Agios Markos. It has been fully renovated but retains its characteristic elements. Next to the house is a large garden (1100 m2) with a heated private pool. The property is fully fenced, offering a lot of privacy. The house is accessible from the street via a footpath of about 40 meters.

Bedrooms
Through the front door, you enter the hallway, which leads to both bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a balcony with a view of the sea and the valley. It features a double box spring bed and a wardrobe.

Bedroom 2 also has French doors leading to the balcony. In addition to the double box spring bed (or 2x single), there is a single sofa bed and a built-in wardrobe for storing clothes.

Living Area
The stairs lead you to the living area with a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a La Cornue gas stove with a double oven, a refrigerator, a kettle, a Nespresso machine, and a milk frother. In the utility room, there is a microwave, a large fridge with a freezer, a dishwasher, and a washing machine.

In the living area, there is a sofa set (sofa bed with a visco foam mattress), and a (mobile) TV with Chromecast is available in the house.

Bathroom and Toilet
On the ground floor, there is also the bathroom and a separate toilet. The bathroom features a sink, a large mirror, a makeup mirror, and a rain shower with a handheld showerhead. Towels, bath towels, and a hairdryer are provided.

Guesthouse
Separately located in the garden is a guesthouse, which contains Bedroom 3. Bedroom 3 has sliding doors to the outdoor terrace, a double box spring bed (140x200), a wardrobe, a small refrigerator, a kettle, a Nespresso machine, and, of course, air conditioning. The bathroom and separate toilet are located outside the guesthouse. The bathroom has a sink with a large mirror above it and a rain shower. Towels, bath towels, and a hairdryer are provided.

Garden
From the living room, you walk through the French doors to the terrace with a large dining table and lounge sofas. The terrace is covered with adjustable louvre roofs and electric screens. From this terrace, you have a beautiful view of the garden, the pool, the sea, and the valley.

For enthusiasts, we have ancient olive, orange, lemon, loquat, and pomegranate trees in the terrace garden. If you're lucky, the fruits are ripe enough to pick. There is also an herb garden where you can prepare wonderful dishes with local fresh products such as fish and olive oil.

For a cool down, you can take a dip in the pool. It is heated, so you can enjoy swimming even during the cooler periods. The pool is 7 x 3.5 meters, equipped with lighting, and easily accessible with a full-width pool ladder. Adjacent to the pool is a large terrace with a lounge sofa, sunbeds, and an attractive canopy. From here, you have a stunning view of the sea and the old fort of Kerkyra.

Extras
The entire property has Wi-Fi (Starlink) and air conditioning. Four E-bikes are available.

Surroundings
Agios Markos is a small and cozy mountain village in the northeast of the Greek island of Corfu, where you can experience the hospitality and authentic atmosphere of the traditional Greek environment. Agios Markos is a wonderful destination if you want to enjoy the real Greece in peace, but with all amenities.

From the holiday home, you overlook the coastline of the harbor town of Ipsos, which is about 1500 meters away. The long boulevard has charming coffee shops, beach bars, and restaurants with sea views. There is also a supermarket and a bakery/patisserie for your daily groceries. In July and August, there is a vibrant nightlife here.

Activities
The area is ideal for walking, cycling, and of course, swimming and other water sports at one of the many different beaches and beautiful bays. You can use the trekking bikes (2x) and our electric bikes (4x) for free.

From Spiti Espéde, you can make fun trips to various cities: the capital Kerkyra (17 km), Barbati (4 km), Palaiokastritska (16 km), Mount Pantokrator (18 km), Achilleio (25 km), and Sidari (27 km).
