"We had 4 couples and 4 kids, and booked almost 2 years in advance for the eclipse. The Rusty Rio is quaint and what it appears to be....a fun and "campy" spot. The only gripe we had was that when we booked, we filtered rentals that had hot tubs, and hot tub was listed as an amenity. It didn't work, and likely hasn't for many years. When we contacted the host, we were advised that it does not work and never has, and that the amenity listing was an error. With that being said, everything else was...

"This property has a great location. Super close to everything you need on River Rd. It is stocked with the basic necessities. Plenty of space for everyone. Some of the other reviews mentioned the a/c not keeping up. There are notes near each thermostat telling you exactly how low you can go with the temp. I’m 51. 72 is warm for me but the other guests were ok. We were also on the river during hottest parts of the day. It cooled down nicely at night. 😊"

"The hosts were friendly and responsive from the very beginning (almost two years ago). The place was very comfortable, with plenty of space both inside and out to socialize or take some quiet time to yourself. We were not there during tubing season, but we got to enjoy walks, restaurants, local shopping. I would highly recommend Hummingbird to anyone looking for a place in Concan."

"We were 4 couples who all skied together from '86 til just years ago. We've all stayed in touch & 5 out of the 8 of celebrated our BDs in October. Had a great time reminiscing & catching up. The pool was a bit too cold for most of us during the day & wished the hot tub was accessible for the cooler nights. Sat around the fire one night & made s'mores. All of us love the Hill Country so this place was great."

"We enjoyed our weekend stay at The Lonestar Lodge. There was more than we gathered from the pictures. The front porch was nice to sit on with some coffee in the morning, and in the evenings with ceiling fans. The barbecue area also has plenty of chairs and a picnic table to gather while cooking. There is a swing on a tree up front, and a fire pit in the yard to sit around. It is a 2 acre lot with plenty of yard space to play some games and let the kids run around. We like the horseshoe seating...

"There is plenty of room inside and we loved sitting on the swinging bench under the live oaks. There were lots of birds at the property and we were close to some nice natural areas. The kitchen was adequate although a drying rack for the dishes and repair of the faucet would be good additions. The mattress on the bed we used was average. All in all it is a very nice place to stay."
