"Lovely hotel"

"If you are lanning to stay more than one day, PLEASE TAKE YOUR SHOWER GEL. Room are not cleaned daily. Continental Breakfast was OK. Weather became colder in evening & at night, there is no heating. When I requested, she can ot start central heating as these are summer months. There is no portable heater. Be careful, befora you book this palce"

"Lovely pub and restaurant with well appointed rooms adjoining. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room decor was Scandi-style - very attractive as well as sufficiently comfortable. Lovely view over the garden and beyond to the woods from my room window."

"The rooms were so hot couldn’t be helped in this heat but couldn’t sleep art all , gave us a fan but it wasn’t much good , breakfast was ok but on the first morning run out of orange juice and coffee machine wasn’t working that well . On the Saturday there was a wedding party music was loud into the night nobody told us in advance"

"Room very clean & tidy looks like a recent refurbish which was very well done , the only thing was the mattresses could do with renewing , which is the only negative thing to say about our stay was able to help ourselves to tea ,coffee etc when needed . Could not ask for better staff , nothing to much trouble for them to do , very good choice for breakfast , never went out hungry also very good menu all round with a good choice of drinks at the bar , will definitely stay again and would highly...

"Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"The general overall stay was super. The staff very helpful especially when we had a problem with our tv, came and sorted it straight away. The organisation of the breakfast with tables linked to your room name was a real plus! Much nicer than 'sit where you like'! "Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. If a client is using derogatory foul audible language aimed at women in the bar area they should be asked to stop by the manager/bar tender - it’s not pleasant to be subjected to this if you’re sitting quietly trying to enjoy your own drink . "A great place to stay. Good restaurant. Since there was a wedding party there at the same time, it was quicker to walk down the street to the pub instead of using the bar as there was only one barman serving lots of people."
