"Service impeccable. Bill was such a lovely host. So helpful and passionate about letting us know what to do in the area. Offered us home made biscuits and coffee when we arrived, even though we were a bit early. The room was large and clean with a nice bathroom and coffee/tea in the room too. Breakfast was wonderful also. A short walk into town, maybe 15 minutes if that. Would highly recommend this to anyone. "

"The location was perfect, and the hosts were very kind. Breakfast was exceptional! I would definitely stay here again. It is close to a pretty walking path where my daughter discovered a playground that she really loved. We are so happy we stayed at Avonpark House. Highly recommend!"

"Great stay. Good communication with check-in instructions prior to arrival. Hotel was convenient for the railway station and town centre and all attractions were only a short walk away. Room was spotless and comfortable. We were grateful for the fan and fridge as it was quite warm"

"House was better than expected for a 600 year old building. Loved the courtyard outside and downstairs lounge area with all mod cons. Had trouble with the door in that it locks when shut and key was inside - had to call a locksmith! Maybe you can look at changing the type of lock so this does not happen to others."

"Great location in the city centre, parking and EV chargers. We had a great experience in the hotel, dinner was tasty, same as breakfast. The only downside was not so polite staff in the restaurant and swimming pool, which would deserve a scrub."

Stairs are steep so if you have mobility restrictions could be a little awkward but not many steps and I had no issue with it. Some noise in the morning around 7.30am with keg delivery for the pub downstairs which woke me but if you're an early riser that wouldn't be an issue and was niyand peaceful the rest of the time. Overall an excellent stay and I'll be back!"
