Pinecone Paradise Chalet-Dog Friendly Walk to Lake

Tucked away in a beautifully wooded setting, this 4 bedroom/2bath chalet is bright and open to provide a true Tahoe experience with comfort and style. It features the best of the old (knotty pine walls, rock fireplace, vaulted ceilings) with the new (remodeled kitchen, flooring and bathrooms).

Ideally situated between Kings Beach and Tahoe City. Close to beaches, major ski resorts, golf and all other outdoor activities and amenities of Tahoe's north shore.

Exterior features full-wrap cedar siding and attractive roof lines. Lodge-like interior is bathed in natural light with plenty of windows to bring the outdoors inside. Enjoy vaulted pine ceilings, a river-rock wood-burning fireplace, knotty-pine paneling, 4 spacious bedrooms, and a loft overlooking the living area. At the corner of the loft is also a small office area with a desk for those of you that can’t 100% unplug from the life you left at home! For those with little ones, there are several kid's amenities available in the house so you can hopefully pack less! Items include toys, games, a booster seat, pack n' play, and kid friendly dishware.

Our chalet is located at one of the most desirable locations in North Lake Tahoe. We are 10 minutes from Tahoe City, 5 minutes from Kings Beach, which both have sandy beaches, weekly concerts in the summer and big grocery stores. We are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line where you will find casinos and concert venues.

In the winter, enjoy proximity to all the major north shore resorts. 11 miles from Northstar and Diamond Peak, 14 miles from Palisades Tahoe (Squaw Valley), and 4 miles from the Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center. During the summer, take a short stroll to the breathtaking Lake Tahoe shorefront. Enjoy the Magic Carpet mini golf or check out the Waterman’s Landing, located at Patton Landing Beach, a 3-acre, pebbly beach known for stand-up paddling and great for swimming. That same beach is right next to the famous GarWoods Grill and Pier, CBs Bistro and the Old Post Office coffee shop.

PLEASE NOTE: Patio furniture and BBQ grills are not available 10/15-5/15 as they are stored for the winter season due to snow. There is no garage. Cars can park on the driveway. In the winter season, the parking space might be tight due to the snow.

This property is dog friendly for a maximum of up to two well trained and well behaved dogs that will never be left unattended in the home or allowed on the furniture. No other pets are allowed. There are additional fees associated.

There is no air conditioning available at this property. The majority of homes in our mountain climate do not have AC as it is rarely necessary. Fans are provided in bedroom closets or available upon request.

Standard condiments, spices, cooking oils, etc. will not be provided and guests are encouraged to bring their own if they plan to cook in the space. Cleaning protocols have been significantly updated in line with AirBnB, Placer County and CDC guidelines/ requirements. Because we do a touch-less check-in and out and will never be present while guests are in the house, we are not providing personal protective equipment such as masks and gloves.

WINTER: If you are visiting during the winter, we will have a snow plow service to clear the driveway early in the morning. We will have de-ice salt available for use (located outside front door), but urge you to be careful, since temperatures can change dramatically and exterior stairs can become slick in the snow/ice. Due to extreme weather conditions, there are occasional power outages, road closures and we do not provide refunds for any power outage, road closures or chain controls, since it is outside of our control. If you are not comfortable driving in the snow, or don’t want to risk a road closure or other weather related delays, please purchase trip insurance that covers weather conditions.

WILDFIRES AND OTHER RISKS (*Buy Travel Insurance*): As Guest starts planning their trip, Host asks that Guest *PURCHASE TRIP INSURANCE*. Traveling to the Sierra mountains at any time of year has *INHERENT RISKS and UNCERTAINTY*, such as SNOW, AIR QUALITY, WILDFIRES (some experts now say *FIRE SEASON* is year round with peak fire season running from July-October), ROAD CONDITIONS, or some other reason (Covid or other health concern for you, your guests or close family member). All of these risks, except perhaps health concerns, are FORESEEABLE. As such, it would NOT be considered an "extenuating circumstance" (under Airbnb's policy) and Host expects Guest to mitigate these risks by purchasing trip insurance (in particular, "cancel for any reason" insurance). Host’s cancelation policy is clear and Host abides by those terms agreed to upon Guest’s booking. Doing this will ease both parties’ concerns and help Guest should Guest need to make changes to their plans for any reason.
